I really want to thank everyone at this facility for all of the hard work, care, respect & dedication they provided to my cat, Duncan. Sadly, Duncan did not survive. He was hospitalized & later went into cardiac arrest but was not able to be revived. While he was under treatment here, he received the best care. The doctor & technician kept me informed every step of the way & let me know of every treatment option possible for Duncan. They also explained every scenario from the best to worst case so I'd be prepared for any outcome. When I picked up Duncan this morning he was in a casket with his paw prints & name. His passing was handled with absolute respect, more so than many humans receive. The emergency vet I usually use doesn't open until 6:00 PM & closes in the morning, Duncan was very ill at 3:00 PM & therefore waiting 3 hours was absolutely not an option considering his condition. I'm so extremely grateful this hospital is open 24 hours because emergencies both animal & human don't just occur between sunset & sunrise but happen at all times. The accessibility to have doors open to a medical- in this case veterinary institution is invaluable. Whether it's 3:00 in the afternoon or 3 in the morning Thank God this place is open to at least give your animals a chance to be treated & to survive. Although my fur baby passed, I can honestly say they gave him every possible chance & for that I'm eternally grateful. I will say, by no fault of this hospital I was unnerved by people who left reviews stating they were too expensive. I was refunded the amount of money that could no longer provide for Duncan when he passes & I retrieved his body. Personally I'd rather have an empty wallet than an empty heart when it comes to caring for my pets, perhaps those people just shouldn't have animals if they're just gonna b*tch about the cost to care for them. Thank you all so much from both Duncan & myself for everything you did & tried to do. Ultimately life & death are in God's hands but again I'm so very grateful that with your free will you gave my munchkin a chance at life. I will sing your praises & recommend you to anyone nearby in need of emergency pet care.

Jan 24, 2025 · Scott P. Neumann (Scottie)My dog was hit by a car and I rushed him to my Vet who immediately told me I needed to rush him to this Animal Emergency Hospital in Volusia. She explained they have the proper and best equipment to deal with this serious problem. She also explained the Doctor's at this clinic were specialists in surgery and and other serious pet problems that require immediate attention. Unfortunately, my dog was very seriously hurt. He had internal bleeding and damaged organs. It honestly didn't look good. The doctor pledged to do her best, but understandly she made it clear she couldn't make any guarantees. Long story short, she had to operate and my boy was very damaged. She spent over 4 hours operating on my dog son, while I waited. When she finished she gave me a detailed account of what she found and did. It's 4 days later and he is almost back to normal and I'm hoping everything continues to go as well. All of the staff here have been incredible. The call me every evening to give me an update. They let me visit my special boy as often and anytime I want. I can call in anytime, day or night, and get an immediate update. This place saved my son from sure death and the personnel have been wonderful in every way. I can not speak highly enough about them. I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else for the treatment for an injury. If a pet needs saving, this is the place to get it done!
Nov 24, 2024 · Steven hyman(2/27/2025) Sunday afternoon I rushed my bearded dragon Mushu who I had for almost 6 years here. When we got there they took him back right away to see if there was anything they could possibly do, by the time we had gotten there he had already passed away. Mushu was my soul pet and I took him everywhere with me. He was there when I needed him during some of the hardest points of my teenage years. I had him cremated and brought him home yesterday (2/27/2025). I want to thank the staff for handling everything with so much care and thought throughout this entire difficult and painful process. I only wish they saw him at his best. We had only just found an exotic vet that takes beardies since moving to Palm Coast. Thank you again and I will definitely be taking my bird here for checkups in the future. I’m looking forward to the Palm Coast location opening as I drove to Ormond🧡🦎
Feb 28, 2025 · Brendon WertzMy chihuahua was in labor when her last puppy was stuck in the birth canal. We rushed her from Palm Coast to this vet, and they wanted 6k to perform a c-section up front. When we didn't have the money they sent is on our way with the now dead pup still stuck in our dog. They offered no type of payment plan and seemed only concerned with payment. After paying the initial fee of $130 my dog left with a cone and a stuck, dead puppy in her.
Jan 30, 2025 · Kimberly SchattnerTwo weeks ago from today, our beloved Cecil (who is just shy of 15 years old) had a stroke. My husband and I rushed him to the Animal Emergency Hospital Volusia. We were really afraid that we would have to say goodbye to Cecil. He was promptly seen, had x-rays, bloodwork, etc. after short amount of time, we were notified by phone that we can come back and speak with the doctor. The doctor was thoughtful and very thorough as she explained her findings. She let us know that she felt this doesn’t need to be the time to say goodbye to him. She definitely gave us hope about his possible recovery. We are so excited to report that he has come so far in two weeks! At first, he couldn’t even lift his head or move much at all. We had to spoonfeed him and hold him in the cat box so that he could utilize it. Now he is able to do everything on his own! He is pretty wobbly on his feet, but every day he gets better. My husband purchased a small animal wheelchair for him thinking it might help with strengthening his legs, but he is definitely too stubborn and was able to get out of it. He is starting physical therapy and acupuncture next week. Thank you for everything you do! The entire staff here is so caring and sympathetic! ❤️ My husband, myself, and little Mister Cecil all appreciate you ! 😻
