Dr Minder was very compassionate with us when we brought in our 19 year old cat, Dusty. He provided us with information in a way that was easy to understand and provided in a kind way. The kindness and compassion of both Dr Minder and the rest of the staff at Animal Emergency Clinic were and still are greatly appreciated. It was truly helpful to be told that we had not failed our sweet old boy, and reminded that with old age comes the failure of the body. Thank you. I didn't take any photos while there, but here is a picture of that sweet old boy.

As a vital part of the local pet care ecosystem, operating under the category of a Pet Hospital, Animal Emergency Clinic focuses specifically on addressing immediate and critical health concerns in animals. While specific details about our clinic's environment are best experienced in person, we strive to create a calm and efficient atmosphere designed to facilitate effective treatment. Our facility is equipped with the necessary medical equipment and technologies to diagnose and treat a variety of emergency conditions. This includes examination rooms for immediate assessment, a surgical suite for urgent procedures, and potentially in-house diagnostic capabilities such as laboratory services and imaging (though specific details on available technology would require further information). Our priority is to ensure a clean and organized environment that promotes the well-being of our patients and the efficiency of our medical team.
The core of Animal Emergency Clinic lies in the comprehensive range of services we offer to address pet emergencies. These services typically include:

This includes assessing the animal's condition, providing immediate stabilization, and developing a treatment plan.
- Emergency Surgical Procedures: In situations requiring immediate surgical intervention, our facility is equipped to perform a variety of urgent surgeries. This could include addressing internal bleeding, foreign body removal, wound repair, and other life-saving procedures.
- Diagnostic Services: To accurately diagnose the underlying cause of your pet's emergency, we offer various diagnostic tools. While the specific technologies available may vary, these often include blood work, urine analysis, and potentially imaging techniques such as X-rays. This allows our team to quickly gain critical information about your pet's condition.
- Pain Management: Recognizing that emergencies can be painful, we prioritize the comfort of our patients. Our team is trained in administering appropriate pain relief to ensure your pet is as comfortable as possible throughout their treatment.
- Continuous Monitoring: Pets in critical condition require close and constant monitoring. Our staff is dedicated to carefully observing vital signs and responding promptly to any changes in your pet's condition.

Mar 27, 2025 · Maimi BoucherTook my cat in for a suspected bowel obstruction and was seen promptly. Front desk staff and techs were kind and the vet was realistic about options and explaining test results. Staff was also up front about pricing throughout the whole visit. Will hopefully never have to return (fingers crossed) but I would come back here for an emergency and recommend others to do so.
May 08, 2025 · Jacob ShollWANTED TO REMOVE MY DOGS EYEBALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!No stars. DR. JULIE MYERS. VERY rude and unprofessional . Took my dog there. Got bite by a dog and her eye came out a bit JULIE (I FEEL SHE DONT NEED TO BE CALLED A DOCTOR)told me that my dog eye needed to be removed! JULIE said it wasn't working and nothing was attached to the eye ball. I seen they eye moving and when u put yr hand up to her face it seem like she could see. I asked how do u know for sure and it just don't need pushed back in. She rudely said because I looked at it in the back. I got there and they took her from me I didn't see what they did for sure but never seen anyone look at her eye. Not saying they did or didn't. I said we'll I want a second opinion. Julie said we'll 5 star(my vet) will tell you the same thing. I had to ask for eye drops to help keep her eye moist. She says it's not going to help. I was pissed and done with that place by then so forgot to ask for antibiotics. She didn't give me any. We'll I wait til the next morning drove 1.30 mins to university of Illinois teaching hospital they DID NOT REMOVE the eye. Could tell by looking at it could be pushed back in! It's wasn't all detach it could be saved. I think Julie needs to go the place I took my dog and get some training. She also said it not like I like taking eyeballs. I couldn't make a decision right then on removing her eye. So when I got home Google reviews seen 3 others say they are money hungry and wanted to amputate and owners fell like for no reason to amputate. Then I knew I was taking her somewhere else. If you really love your fur baby don't bring them here or at least to JULIE MYERS.
Mar 11, 2025 · Ashlee WellsThree days before Christmas our 10 year old doodle decided it was time to consume a sock and have a bowel obstruction… this required emergency surgery and a multi-day stay. I can’t say enough good things about this facility and its staff. Very knowledgeable, kind, and compassionate. We were worried sick about our sweet Harley and would call multiple times a day to check on her. Every time we called we were met with understanding and helpful information. No one wants to find themselves at the emergency vet, but I feel better knowing this team is just up the street.
Jan 15, 2025 · Hannah MichaelThey did a wonderful job taking care of my cat when he had a partially obstructed GI (even though he is crazy and was not working with them at all LOL). Yes it is expensive, but you get what you pay for: 24/7 access to doctors, bloodwork, imaging, and surgery if necessary. They are very transparent with costs and you can refuse whatever recommended services you want. Highly recommend pet insurance but that is another story. Great experience here, thanks for getting my buddy back healthy! Special thank you to Dr. Myers who was incredibly compassionate, thorough, and professional!
