I was very pleased with the care that my kitty got when her life was on the line due to swallowing a foreign body. Dr. Rios and staff for the most part had a lot of compassion for me and my decision at hand whether to go through with surgery or put my kitty to sleep ( This was her second time in 2 yrs. with an obstruction requiring surgery. ) If I’m honest some of the staff was not as knowledgeable with how to handle the difficult decision that I was facing but I much appreciated the professionalism and care that Dr. Rios took and the patience she demonstrated in giving me the time needed to make my decision. It was an extremely delicate situation having also lost my husband only 3 days earlier. I was pleased with the surgery thankfully and the results have been excellent for my kitty, Lily Belle.

Based on feedback from actual clients, the environment at Animal Emergency Clinic is geared towards efficient and effective care. While specific details about the clinic's physical ambiance are not provided, the emphasis on quick assessment and triage suggests a well-organized and streamlined facility designed to handle emergencies without unnecessary delays. The positive reviews highlight the clinic's ability to promptly evaluate a pet's condition, a crucial aspect during critical times when every minute counts. This efficiency likely contributes to a less stressful experience for both the pet and the owner compared to clinics where prolonged waiting periods are common.
The services offered at Animal Emergency Clinic are primarily focused on emergency veterinary care. This encompasses a wide range of critical medical and surgical interventions required when a pet faces sudden illness, injury, or other life-threatening conditions. One customer review specifically mentions a successful surgery performed on their cat who had swallowed a foreign body, indicating the clinic's capability in handling complex surgical cases. The fact that this was the pet's second such surgery within two years underscores the importance of having access to a skilled surgical team in emergency situations.
Beyond surgical expertise, the clinic is equipped to handle various medical emergencies. The review about a puppy bitten by a larger dog highlights their ability to assess injuries, control bleeding, and provide guidance on ongoing care. The fact that the puppy was stable and allowed to wait with the owner (with clear communication about the wait time) demonstrates a practical and considerate approach to emergency management, prioritizing the well-being of the animal while keeping the owner informed.
A significant feature of Animal Emergency Clinic, consistently praised in the reviews, is the quality of its staff and doctors. Dr. Rios is specifically mentioned for her compassion, professionalism, and patience in handling a particularly sensitive situation where a pet owner had to make a difficult decision shortly after a personal loss. This highlights the clinic's understanding of the emotional toll that pet emergencies can take on owners and their commitment to providing empathetic support alongside medical care.
Furthermore, the staff is described as quick to assess and triage patients, which is paramount in an emergency setting. The comparison made by one reviewer to other emergency clinics in the area, where wait times were significantly longer, speaks volumes about the efficiency of Animal Emergency Clinic's processes. The reviewer's surprise at a relatively short 1.5-hour wait from start to finish underscores their commitment to minimizing delays and providing timely attention to animals in need.
Another noteworthy feature is the honesty and integrity of the veterinarians. The positive feedback indicates that the vets at Animal Emergency Clinic do not engage in unnecessary upselling or try to find problems that are not there. This builds trust with pet owners, who appreciate receiving straightforward and reliable assessments of their pets' conditions and transparent recommendations for treatment. The fact that a quoted cost was actually higher than the final bill in one instance further reinforces this perception of honesty and fair practice.
While specific promotional information is not available in the provided text, the overwhelmingly positive reviews serve as a powerful testament to the quality of care provided at Animal Emergency Clinic. The willingness of clients to drive extra miles to this clinic, bypassing other options, speaks volumes about the trust and satisfaction they have experienced. Mar 14, 2025 · Gillian KI love this emergency clinic! I will drive the 10 extra miles to go here with my pet emergencies rather than deal with the nonsense at the other 2 emergency clinics in Redlands! This clinic has the best staff and doctors that always are quick to assess my pets condition, and triage them quickly rather than making me wait hours not knowing if my pet is going to be okay or not. I was surprised when they were so apologetic for the wait (1.5 hours) from start to finish. Previous experience at the other clinics was minimum of 6-8 hours, so 1.5 is amazing! I really appreciate that the vets don't try to find something wrong that isn't there, like trying to upsell the client. My little puppy was bitten by my older much larger dog the other night. There was blood and I was panicking a bit since he's only 13 lbs to the 100+ of the other dog. They took a look, and since the bleeding had stopped and he appeared stable he could stay with me to wait. It was a busier night so we were there for about 3 hours. But they let us know that when we checked in. It ended up not costing as much as I was quoted, and the attached pic is him the next day. It is already healing so well. They are honest and I will always drive the extra miles to them when I have a problem. Thank you!
Apr 07, 2025 · Kristina CrabtreeThis was my first time coming here. I was debating to either go to a hospital in Redlands but decided to come here. The front desk lady was really nice. The doctor was amazing, like I can tell she cares about the animals very much.
May 14, 2025 · Estefanny Contrerascame here for a nose and eye infection for my cat and was given two medications (eyedrops and nose drops) but the instructions for the eye drops said to give it intranasal. so i have been putting the eye drops into my cat’s nose (as per the instructions) and did not realize this until i googled the name of the medication. and before a staff member of this place replies to my bad review trying to justify this mistake — it could be a fatal mistake if this were dealing with a different kind of medication. im a college student and paid $300 for this service. i should not have to be doing extra steps to make up for this staff’s carelessness
Feb 26, 2025 · Eva ZhaoWe have used Animal Emergency Clinic during off hours for our regular Vet for over 30 years. They have always been so compassionate and caring in treating our dogs. We have received comprehensive treatment and I recommend them any time it is appropriate to other people. We are so happy knowing that if an emergency arises after hours we have a viable alternative .
