I saw Dr. Mundell yesterday because our foster dog has an ongoing paw infection (coupled with other ear, eye, and skin issues) we've been unable to clear up. The office had a calm and quiet atmosphere putting my pup more at ease than your typical vet clinic. There were no other dogs there while we were being seen. Dr. Mundell came in and spent a lot of time engaging with us about my dog's background, behavior, temperament, and cross-referencing with his medical history, diagnoses, and medications prescribed. He was incredibly thorough and knowledgeable. His patient/pup manner is very calm and comforting... putting my anxious pup more at ease. I was never rushed to end the appointment; I felt they allocated a good amount of time for our visit. Dr. Mundell was literally on the floor with me showing me the examples of his diagnosis and treatment plan for my dog's paws. You can tell he is incredibly experienced, passionate about his work, and loves helping dogs. I really recommend this clinic. You may have to wait a while to get an initial appointment, but it's worth it.

As a specialized Pet Hospital focusing on dermatology, Animal Dermatology Service offers a range of services specifically tailored to address skin, ear, and paw conditions in animals. These services typically include comprehensive dermatological examinations to accurately diagnose the underlying causes of various issues. This often involves a detailed history taking, physical examination of the affected areas, and potentially the use of specialized diagnostic tools and techniques.

Allergy testing is a crucial service offered by veterinary dermatologists, as allergies are a common cause of skin problems in pets. Animal Dermatology Service likely provides various methods of allergy testing, such as intradermal skin testing or blood tests, to identify specific allergens affecting your pet. Once identified, appropriate management strategies, including allergen avoidance or immunotherapy, can be implemented.

The treatment of skin infections, whether bacterial, fungal, or parasitic, is another core service. Dr. Mundell's experience with the foster dog's persistent paw infection indicates expertise in diagnosing and managing complex infections that may not have responded to previous treatments. Creating a stress-reduced atmosphere can improve the overall experience for both the pet and the owner, potentially leading to better compliance with treatment plans.

While the reviews do not mention specific promotional offers, specialized veterinary services like dermatology may sometimes have introductory consultations or package deals for certain diagnostic procedures. Local users seeking dermatological care for their pets are encouraged to contact Animal Dermatology Service directly to inquire about any current promotions or the cost of initial consultations and common dermatological tests.

The fact that obtaining an initial appointment might require a bit of a wait, as mentioned in one review, suggests that Dr. Mundell is a sought-after specialist in his field. My poor lemon of a cat (who I love more than anything) has been a patient of Dr. Mundell for almost 5 years now. He is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. He is great at explaining his thought process and goes into great medical detail. He does not jump to more invasive or expensive testing or procedures without exhausting other treatment options first. He is also highly recommended by multiple of my cats' other specialists as one of the best in his field. It's a bit of a drive for me, but it's well worth the time.

Talks a lot but doesn’t help with anything. I scheduled an appointment for an allergy blood test, arrived, and the doctor said they don’t perform that test. And they charged $115 for THAT. Don’t waste your time or money on this clinic.

Dr. Mundell is a marvel. He has seen a lot in his many years of practice, and that's what we were looking for with our dog's nail issues: knowledge, experience, and thoroughness. Dr. Mundell has all of that and more. He took the time to answer all of our questions, and carefully investigated Beau's nails. He was also very gentle with Beau, who liked him immediately. We want to thank Dr. Mundell and his staff, especially Chris, who are so conscientious and professional. We felt very heartened by the doctor's expertise, and we are sure the treatments are going to work. Thank you, Dr. Mundell.
