Dec 28, 2024 · Miranda TracyI write this review with the heaviest heart after we lost our beautiful dog Mochi in the hands of this clinic. Mochi had a growth in the superficial part of one of her ears right before her ear canal. My husband and I noticed it and came here after being referred to see Dr. Craig Griffin after getting a couple second opinions regarding the matter because no vet was able to identify what it was. I called ahead and was informed by the front office staff that Dr. Griffin was the 'best in the business for all ear inquiries,' and when I let them know that I wanted to discuss this further with my husband before making a decision for an expensive $265 consult that would lead to a surgery same day, I was told by Alex that she advises we get it checked sooner than later. After she sold me on making the payment, she had Anna take payment and they wrongfully charged my card to another patient's account. Alex then took over to issue a refund for that initial payment processed since they charged it on my card for a different patient file entirely. I still let them process the payment again and proceeded to await the refund for their first mistake. I came in to the clinic this morning for our 8am appointment to have this 'expert' examine my beautiful baby. Craig Griffin, was clearly knowledgeable and enthused about his specialty, but his lack of 'bedside manner' for my anxiety on what the growth in my baby's ear was extremely distasteful. He proceeded to go on and on about his accolades in what he has accomplished to make him qualified to examine the growth and offered up three options on what I action I should take. Through that consult, he basically concluded he had no idea what it may be, but proceeded to say that the process costing over $2,000 was the safest for putting my baby through the process of removing the growth. I went ahead and listened to his advice aside his 'advice' to let him allergy test her as well since she was going to be sedated. It wasn't even an hour later that they texted me saying I needed to call them after I left that office. They never called me, they just texted for me to call. When I called back, they put me on hold to get the vet. Craig Griffin then proceeded to tell me that he has no idea what happened, but Mochi has died. My heart sank and I felt like I couldn't breathe. When I asked what happened, he said 'I really don't know, but I am so sorry.' Needless to say at that point, I was in hysterics and told that office I need to contact my husband and we stopped what we were doing and headed to that office to see our baby. The receptionist, Jamie, rushed us into a room because we were clearly not ok. She did not offer any words of sympathy or apology and said the doctor will be in shortly to talk to us. He claimed that he has no idea what happened as the procedure was not even taking place and they were getting her prepped for the procedure. He claimed that most vets don't use propofol for dogs preliminary to anesthesia, but he does in his clinic because it is safer than Alfaxalone. He claimed that she may not have reacted well to that and during the process after she didn't take to the sedatives well, he was trying to 'de-stress' her by giving her the propofol and midazolam prior to putting her on the anesthesia. He claimed that the doses she received were not enough to 'de-stress' her and he upped the doses, which then led to her heart not beating. He claimed that he tried to save her thereafter, when it was more than 2 minutes after they connected her to everything that they realized she wasn't breathing and they couldn't hear a heartbeat. The vet tech retrieved the doctor after that and they failed to save her. Had I never come here, Mochi would be here. She was fully healthy and when I asked if they checked everything before they took her to the procedure, they all claimed they did. There is less than a 1% chance of a healthy dog having these issues with anesthesia recorded. They killed her. The note they sent also is inaccurate as propofol and other details were omitted
Nov 06, 2024 · DB TeeWe saw Dr Keating today for my German shepherds skin issues. She was absolutely amazing. Incredibly knowledgeable. Never rushed us. Answered all questions and explained everything so I could understand. The front desk person and nurse were both so kind as well. Wonderful experience. Clean!
Aug 21, 2024 · Katy LockwoodDo not go here! Everything I had done here could’ve been done upon a regular vet visit. They will scam you $265 just to walk through their doors. Craig Griffin DVM is a pretentious man beyond his prime. He will cut you off and talk over you to probably give you the same spiel he has been giving for 40 plus years. He did not allow me to speak about my concerns for my dog. He had already made up his mind about what was happening before he walked through the door. Very confrontational as well. Unfortunately with this place you will be paying an arm and a leg to someone whose pride and ego are too big. For everyone’s sake we can only hope Craig Griffin retire soon and spend the rest of his days on a golf course where he is better suited.
Aug 27, 2024 · Kyla StemmlerWas able to get my pup seen just a few days after I called. The vet spent about an hour with me explaining plan of action and options for further treatment. Glad I exhausted all options before getting surgery on my pup because it seems as though she didn't need it. Would recommend
