Animal Dermatology Clinic

I brought my kitty Piper in today for her long awaited appointment at the dermatology clinic. We were promptly greeted and checked in. The waiting room was very calm and we were the only ones waiting at the time which Piper enjoyed. We were promptly taken back to an exam room at our scheduled appointment time. The staff were all super friendly and welcoming. The exam room was clean and specifically designed for cats which I loved as so many vets fail to consider cats special needs. (For example there was a little cat hammock on the wall which I thought was so cute). Dr. Parnell-Turner came into the room shortly after we got settled. I really appreciated that she took a look at all the records and paperwork I submitted prior to the appointment. I felt that that really allowed us to utilize our time efficiently. Sometimes I feel you do all this paperwork before an appointment just to have to verbally say all the same things over again, in this exam I didn’t feel this way and felt the doctor really took the time to care about my cat’s specific history to make an informed decision of next steps. Dr. Parnell-Turner was extremely kind and knowledgeable. Both Piper and I felt at ease. The technologist that worked with us was also an absolute gem (I’m sorry I don’t remember your name!). Piper got blood work and we got the results all at the same appointment which I also thought was incredible. Pricing and options of medications were all explained well and I felt at the end of the appointment we had a very good plan that was individualized to my cat’s specific needs. I felt the exam was well worth the price and the wait. This isn’t just a 15 minute exam like at a regular vet. We were there for over an hour and most of that time was spent face to face with the doctor. And I think that’s necessary for this kind of speciality as it’s so complicated and there are so many factors to consider. I also felt like the price I was quoted for allergy testing and allergy shots was a way more reasonable price than I was expecting (around $1500). All in all—yes you will have to wait a couple months to get in for a consult; yes it will be expensive; but also YES you will get really awesome care for your pet. I highly recommend this clinic.

Everyone is so kind and welcoming, front desk and techs. I have reactive chihuahuas so I really appreciate the quiet waiting area. Plenty of space outside for walking and potty. Dr Blessing sees 2 of my dogs (for classic itching issues) and we love her, she explains everything so clearly, she sets realistic expectations using plain and simple statistics of possible success with treatments and she's ready to answer any question!

The overall experience and service was amazing and great. The staff are really friendly and they make me feel as though they truly care about the well being of my cat. The doctor did a great job explaining everything to me so I could understand and I felt like we chose the best route for my cat without doing to much or spending excessive amounts right off the bat. My only issue is that it all seemed extremely expensive. I understand it's specialized care but wow, the prices really got me. Just for a simple appointment to get my just looked at by the doctor was almost 300 dollars. Great service but wow prices are high.

This place is incredible. Everyone is very kind and gentle. My dog came in with an ongoing hair loss issue on his face that was spreading, and none of our regular vets could figure it out for over a YEAR. Within a month of treatment at Animal Dermatology Clinic it began clearing up, and it has stayed clear to this day! So grateful.

We received the BEST care at Animal Dermatology Clinic! Dr. Boord and the entire team were so welcoming and kind. Dr. Boord was beyond amazing and so informative. She was so patient and thorough in explaining what was going. I could not have asked for better care with our cat. The facility itself was very clean! Thank you everyone for your care!
