Dr High was the only vet that could get my dogs severe skin allergies under control. He had reoccurring bacterial and yeast infections on his belly and in his ears. Dr High was able to step by step eliminate and test and learn via medications the right combination for my pup. Couldn't be more thankful for her!

Welcome to Animal Dermatology Clinic
Welcome to the Animal Dermatology Clinic, a specialized Pet Hospital dedicated exclusively to the diagnosis and treatment of skin, ear, and nail disorders in animals. We understand that dermatological issues can significantly impact your pet's comfort and quality of life, causing persistent itching, pain, and discomfort. As a focused veterinary practice, our mission is to provide expert dermatological care, utilizing advanced diagnostics and treatment modalities to address a wide range of skin conditions in dogs, cats, and other animal species. Unlike general practice Pet Hospitals, our clinic offers a concentrated level of expertise in the complex field of veterinary dermatology.
At the Animal Dermatology Clinic, our environment is specifically designed to cater to the unique needs of pets with skin conditions. We strive to create a calm and comfortable atmosphere to minimize stress during examinations and treatments. Our clinic is equipped with specialized diagnostic equipment and treatment facilities tailored for dermatological evaluations and procedures. This includes advanced microscopy for skin and ear cytology, allergy testing capabilities, video otoscopy for detailed ear examinations, and specialized treatment rooms for procedures such as medicated baths and laser therapy. Our focus on dermatology allows us to invest in and maintain equipment that is specifically beneficial for diagnosing and managing skin-related issues.
The cornerstone of the Animal Dermatology Clinic is our team of board-certified veterinary dermatologists and experienced veterinary technicians. Our dermatologists have undergone extensive specialized training in veterinary dermatology, including residency programs and rigorous board examinations. This advanced expertise allows us to accurately diagnose complex skin conditions that may be challenging for general practitioners. Our team stays current with the latest advancements in dermatological research and treatment protocols, ensuring that your pet receives the most up-to-date and effective care available. Our veterinary technicians are also specially trained in dermatological procedures and provide compassionate support to both pets and their owners.
The services offered at the Animal Dermatology Clinic are comprehensive and tailored to address a wide spectrum of dermatological conditions in animals. These services include thorough dermatological examinations, where our specialists will take a detailed history of your pet's condition and perform a comprehensive physical examination, focusing on the skin, ears, and nails. Based on the initial examination, we utilize a variety of advanced diagnostic techniques to pinpoint the underlying cause of your pet's skin problems.
Our diagnostic capabilities include skin cytology, which involves examining skin and ear samples under a microscope to identify infections (bacterial, fungal, yeast) and inflammatory cells. We also perform skin scrapings and hair plucks to look for external parasites such as mites and lice. Allergy testing, including intradermal skin testing and serum allergy testing, is crucial for identifying environmental and food allergies that can manifest as skin problems. Skin biopsies are often necessary to obtain tissue samples for histopathological analysis, which can provide a definitive diagnosis for many inflammatory, autoimmune, and neoplastic skin diseases.
Once a diagnosis is established, our veterinary dermatologists will develop a customized treatment plan tailored to your pet's specific condition and needs. Our treatment options are diverse and may include topical medications (creams, ointments, sprays, shampoos), oral medications (antibiotics, antifungals, corticosteroids, immunosuppressants), injectable medications, and specialized therapies such as immunotherapy (allergy shots or oral drops) for managing allergies. We also offer video otoscopy, a minimally invasive procedure that allows us to visualize the ear canal in detail, perform deep ear cleanings, and obtain samples for diagnosis. Laser therapy is another modality we may utilize for its anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving effects on certain skin conditions.
A key feature of the Animal Dermatology Clinic is our collaborative approach to patient care. We understand that your pet's primary veterinarian plays a vital role in their overall health. We work closely with your general practitioner, providing them with detailed reports of our findings, diagnosis, and treatment plan. This ensures seamless continuity of care and a coordinated approach to managing your pet's dermatological issues. We believe that effective communication between specialists and primary veterinarians is essential for the best possible outcome for your pet.
While our primary focus is on diagnosis and treatment, we also place a strong emphasis on client education. We understand that managing chronic skin conditions often requires ongoing care at home. Our team will take the time to thoroughly explain your pet's condition, the rationale behind the treatment plan, and provide detailed instructions on how to administer medications and perform any necessary home care. We aim to empower you with the knowledge and tools you need to effectively manage your pet's skin issues and improve their long-term comfort.
The environment at the Animal Dermatology Clinic is designed to be as stress-free as possible for our patients. We utilize gentle handling techniques and strive to create a calm and quiet atmosphere. We understand that pets with skin conditions may be particularly sensitive or uncomfortable, and we take extra care to ensure their comfort during examinations and procedures. Our staff is trained to recognize signs of anxiety and to employ strategies to help your pet feel more at ease.
As a specialized clinic, our service offerings are primarily focused on dermatological conditions. We typically do not offer routine wellness examinations, vaccinations, general surgery, or other services commonly provided by general practice veterinary hospitals. Our expertise lies specifically in the diagnosis and management of skin, ear, and nail disorders. If your pet has other health concerns, we recommend consulting with their primary veterinarian.
While specific promotional offers may vary, the Animal Dermatology Clinic is committed to providing high-quality, specialized care. We encourage pet owners to contact us directly to inquire about our consultation fees and the estimated costs of diagnostic procedures and treatments. Our team can provide you with detailed information about the financial aspects of your pet's care. We believe that investing in expert dermatological care can significantly improve your pet's quality of life and long-term well-being.
In conclusion, the Animal Dermatology Clinic is a specialized Pet Hospital dedicated to providing expert diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of skin, ear, and nail conditions in animals. Our team of board-certified veterinary dermatologists and experienced staff utilize advanced diagnostics and treatment modalities to address complex dermatological issues. We work collaboratively with your primary veterinarian and prioritize client education to ensure the best possible outcome for your pet. If your animal companion is suffering from a persistent or complex skin problem, we encourage you to seek the specialized care offered at the Animal Dermatology Clinic.

Apr 21, 2024 · Patricia Kim MoonDon’t go hear. They misdiagnosed our dog, gave our dog tons of unnecessary drugs which affected her health, charged us way more than any other comparable dermatology clinics, they admitted fault about the misdiagnosis and they said they would help us resolving this issue. The only thing they said was to start getting medication from them at a discounted rate. Unfortunately the medication was literally 10 times more than an online resource. If you care about your dog stay away from this facility. Emily Shaw could have fixed this but didn’t care about anything more than financial gain.
Nov 01, 2020 · RyanStaff was very helpful when we arrived with our dog that was sick an needed attention, we didn't wait long before they took her, the system they have for covid-19 precautions are great. I know we left our pup in good hands.
Aug 11, 2020 · Amarie TorresThey will make sure you know when you're initial appointment is, because that's where the money is. But if you have to come in for a re-check, make sure you log that in your calendar because you will not get a reminder. That's not where the money is. I'm so disappointed.
