The vets at Animal Clinic West were very patient, kind and really wanted the best for my baby kitty. She had an abscess on her jaw and needed to get spayed, they did the surgeries at the same time and she came out perfect. She is very healthy now! Thank you to the entire staff for helping us during a very difficult time. Update: It is May 15th, 2024, 6 months later Dopie healed fully and has been completely healthy and you can't even see the scar. Thank you again!

Animal Clinic Western Inc Introduce
For pet owners in Harbor City, CA, and the surrounding communities, Animal Clinic Western Inc serves as a local option within the "Pet Hospital" category. Located at 23820 Western Ave, Harbor City, CA 90710, USA, and accessible via phone at (310) 534-0315 or mobile +1 310-534-0315, this clinic provides veterinary services to local animal companions. It is important for prospective clients to consider various aspects of the clinic, including its environment, services, features, and promotional information, drawing from available customer feedback to form a comprehensive understanding.
Regarding the environment of Animal Clinic Western Inc, the provided reviews offer mixed impressions. While specific details on the facility's aesthetic or layout are not directly stated, the experience of a "very patient, kind" staff in one instance suggests a generally supportive and professional atmosphere for managing pet care. A functioning "Pet Hospital" implies a certain standard of cleanliness and organization within its examination rooms, surgical areas, and reception. However, the subsequent review, highlighting a significant "miscommunication," could indirectly reflect on aspects of client intake, consultation spaces, or even the overall operational efficiency. It's crucial for any medical facility to have a clear and calm environment that facilitates precise communication and reduces the potential for misunderstandings, especially during sensitive discussions about procedures. The fact that the clinic is able to perform surgeries and manage post-operative care indicates that it has the necessary physical infrastructure for these medical interventions. While not explicitly described, the environment would be expected to support these functions, including areas for patient recovery.
As a "Pet Hospital," Animal Clinic Western Inc offers a range of veterinary services. The reviews specifically mention surgical capabilities. One positive account details successful surgery for a cat with a jaw abscess and a simultaneous spay procedure, with the pet achieving a "perfect" outcome and full recovery. This indicates proficiency in common surgical interventions and post-operative care. The clinic also clearly offers spaying services, as central to the second, more concerning review. Beyond surgery, a typical pet hospital would provide routine wellness examinations, vaccinations, and diagnostic services. The second review, involving checking for pregnancy and administering shots, suggests these fundamental services are also available. However, the critical "miscommunication" surrounding the pregnant cat's spay procedure raises concerns about the clarity of information provided regarding complex medical decisions, specifically the implications of spaying a pregnant animal. This incident highlights that while the clinic performs various procedures, the communication surrounding them, particularly regarding sensitive outcomes, is a crucial aspect of their service delivery. For any "Pet Hospital," clear and ethical communication about all aspects of care, especially when life is involved, is paramount.
The features of Animal Clinic Western Inc, as portrayed by customer experiences, present a dichotomy. On the positive side, the staff, including the vets, are described as "very patient, kind and really wanted the best for my baby kitty" during a difficult time, implying a compassionate and dedicated team. The successful resolution of the abscess and spay surgery, leading to a healthy recovery, showcases their surgical competence and effective medical treatment. This suggests a facility capable of delivering good clinical outcomes for certain procedures. The prompt follow-up on recovery, with the update six months later confirming full healing and no visible scar, further reinforces this positive aspect of their care. However, the second review introduces significant negative features related to communication and ethical practice. The "massive miscommunication" regarding spaying a pregnant cat, where the client believed the kittens would be saved, points to a severe breakdown in conveying critical medical information and obtaining informed consent. The client's strong statement, "I've never seen ANY vet misunderstand that," and the call for the vet's license to be revoked, highlight a profound dissatisfaction and distrust stemming from this incident. The accusation of overcharging is also a notable negative feature. This sharp contrast in experiences suggests that while the clinic may offer competent medical and surgical care, the consistency of patient and client communication, particularly in sensitive or complex situations, might be a significant area of concern.
In terms of promotional information, Animal Clinic Western Inc relies on its direct patient interactions. The positive review, highlighting a successful surgery and compassionate staff during a "very difficult time," serves as a powerful endorsement of their capabilities and care. Such testimonials are often the most persuasive form of promotion for local veterinary services. However, the highly negative and public account of the "miscommunication" related to the pregnant cat's spay procedure presents a significant counter-narrative, which could impact public perception and future client acquisition. For a "Pet Hospital," trust and clear communication are foundational, and any perceived ethical lapses or major misunderstandings can severely damage reputation. While the clinic did waive fees to cover the mistake, the emotional and ethical ramifications of the incident, as described by the client, are considerable. Therefore, while a positive experience can serve as a strong promotional tool, negative experiences, especially those shared publicly, can be equally, if not more, influential. For prospective clients, it's essential to weigh both types of feedback. Individuals considering Animal Clinic Western Inc are encouraged to contact them directly at (310) 534-0315 or +1 310-534-0315 to inquire about specific services and perhaps discuss any concerns they might have after reviewing the available feedback. Understanding the full scope of services and communication protocols is vital before entrusting a pet's care to any veterinary facility.

May 15, 2024 · laura brandI brought my cat in to check if she was pregnant and get shots. We had previously found her on the street and had suspicions that she was carrying kittens or just got pregnant. We went into the clinic and specified that we wanted to check and Dr Lee had offered getting her fixed. We wanted to help this cat through her pregnancy so When we had asked "Can you spay a pregnant cat?" Doctor Lee had said yes. He said it would be cheaper than doing the ultrasound too which we thought, okay this should be fine. We we under the impression we would still be able to keep her kittens in this procedure We were then called an hour saying they terminated the pregnancy and removed 5 fetuses from her. They were going to charge us 150 dollars for that as well. So it was then we were told the cat cannot keep babies and also be fixed. After discussing this "miscommunication" with Doctor Lee, he waived the fees to cover his mistake. However I need it to be known that this man should have his vet license revoked. This massive miscommunication costed us 5 cats lives and has traumatized me and my partner. I've never seen ANY vet misunderstand that. We said we wanted to keep the kittens and he leaves it as a miscommunication? Do not take your animals here. They also love to overcharge.
Sep 09, 2024 · Darcey MayThe veterinarian is also a long-time vet, he served for 40 years. Please treat him and his staff with respect, just because they can take your stress doesnt mean they should. I got ripped off by another vet by the animal shelter, and I was so mad because my male cat had a bladder infection. I really thought all vets were just after people's money and my cat would die. This place and the service it provided was more than outstanding. I feel so grateful that they were here. Thank you. Edit ( year later ) Sent my Kitty chiquita for a check up to see if it’s depression or if there is something wrong with her . The doctor who checked her up , was very thorough and sweet with her . He is a sweet guy and tries his best to be as gentle with her . And she’s very skittish at times with new strangers . She was just depressed but the fact he was sweet with my cat meant the world to me . I’m so glad he is still alive because he is honestly the best vet in the whole city . Affordable and good service . The wife is a sweet heart too and she tries her best , to understand what’s going on and helping her husband . Bless these people , usually I’m very suspicious of vets but I never feel scared bringing any of my cats or dog here . They bring me such a peaceful classic vibe that most vets should have , instead of having the vibe of a morgue . A true home vibe and I couldn’t ask for more . Bless them so much . Thank you for everything! 10/10
Dec 22, 2022 · Someone ElseI’ve been taking my dog here for years . My family uses them also. Decent prices that are always able to accommodate me and my dog. Highly recommend
Jun 24, 2023 · Rbriseno@gmail.com #1610islandI was very happy with the service here. Everyone was very helpful and knowledgeable. The prices are very reasonable compared to some other vets and I will definitely be returning here with my other pets. One thing I did like about this Clinic is that they didn't try to upsell me on anything extra. I will definitely be referring them to anyone and everyone I know. Thank you guys for the Great experience.
