check your bills and make sure you know what you are paying for!! this is by far the most dishonest vet clinic I’ve ever encountered. Courtney lied and told me they would be able to do a blood test to confirm if my dog was poisoned. When I got there the vet told me that there was no way for them to be able to tell if he had poison by the blood test and either way they would send me to the emergency room. they wasted my time and my money… then had the audacity to slap me with a $500 vet bill for blood work I shouldn’t have even had done if they were going to send me to emergency care anyways. They admitted to charging me for 2 tests that totaled $230… that didnt even need to be done. They also charged me $60 for a heart worm test?! I wasn’t even there for a Heartworm test. There were other customer there that had sympathized with me because everyone knew this was so wrong. The owner had to ask me how to handle the situation!!! I told him to be fair. But this wasn’t fair. He cut the bill in half after he finally admitted they were immoral…

Welcome to Animal Clinic

Welcome to Animal Clinic, a Pet Hospital located at 16 Dr Kay Ln, Stuart, VA 24171, USA. As a local veterinary care provider, Animal Clinic aims to serve the pet health needs of the Stuart community and surrounding areas. We offer a range of veterinary services to help keep your animal companions healthy.

Based on the limited reviews available, experiences at Animal Clinic appear to be varied. One customer described a significantly negative encounter, alleging dishonest billing practices. This reviewer detailed an instance where they sought a blood test to confirm potential poisoning in their dog. According to this account, they were informed that such a test wouldn't be conclusive and that emergency room referral was likely. Despite this, blood work was performed, resulting in a substantial bill that the customer felt was unwarranted, especially since emergency care was the recommended course of action. The review further claimed charges for unnecessary tests, including a heartworm test when the visit was for a different concern. This customer reported that the owner acknowledged the situation as "immoral" and subsequently reduced the bill.

In contrast, another customer offered a more positive, albeit brief, assessment, praising the helpful and supportive nature of the staff. This reviewer did mention a desire for interior updates to the clinic but noted that this did not detract from the quality of the staff's service.

Given the limited and contrasting nature of the available feedback, it is challenging to provide a comprehensive overview of the environment, services, and features of Animal Clinic. However, we can infer some aspects based on the general nature of a "Pet Hospital" and the comments provided.

Regarding the environment, one review mentioned that the interior could use updating. This suggests that while the facility may be functional, some aspects might appear dated. However, the second reviewer did not find this to detract from the service provided by the staff.

In terms of services, while not explicitly listed in detail by the reviewers, a typical Pet Hospital like Animal Clinic would generally offer a range of veterinary services, which commonly include:

  • General Wellness Exams: Routine check-ups to monitor your pet's overall health.
  • Vaccinations: To protect your pet against various diseases.
  • Parasite Prevention: Including measures against fleas, ticks, and heartworms.
  • Diagnostic Services: Such as blood work, and potentially imaging like X-rays, to help diagnose illnesses. (Note: One review specifically mentioned blood tests, though the circumstances were disputed.)
  • Medical Treatment: Care for sick or injured animals.
  • Surgical Procedures: Ranging from routine to more complex surgeries.

The negative review mentioned blood work and a heartworm test, indicating that these diagnostic services are likely offered. The positive review, focusing on helpful and supportive staff, suggests a customer service aspect to their features.

Features of Animal Clinic, based on the reviews, appear to include:

  • Helpful and Supportive Staff: As mentioned by one reviewer.
  • Diagnostic Capabilities: Including blood tests and heartworm tests.

However, the significant negative review raises concerns about billing transparency and the alignment between recommended treatment and services rendered.

Currently, there is no promotional information available in the provided text. Pet hospitals sometimes offer introductory discounts or seasonal promotions, but there is no indication of such offers for Animal Clinic in the given reviews.

In summary, the available information paints a mixed picture of Animal Clinic. One customer found the staff helpful and supportive but noted the clinic's interior could be updated. Conversely, another customer reported a very negative experience involving alleged dishonesty in billing and the provision of unnecessary services. This discrepancy makes it difficult to provide a fully objective and positive introduction without acknowledging the serious concerns raised. Local users are advised to consider these differing viewpoints when evaluating Animal Clinic for their pet care needs. It may be prudent to inquire about the costs of services upfront and ensure a clear understanding of the proposed treatment plan.
