My cat got stung by a bee to her paw. I took her to this clinic as it was nearby. I'm very disappointed with the staff. Firstly, the doctor seemed upset that I only wanted an antihistamine injection, she wanted to give her steroids as well. Secondly, the man who held my cat (nurse?) didn't acknowledge me, or my cat and just grabbed her from the back so of course she's going to freak out. Then they said I was the one making my cat anxious. I tried to calm her down. They were also looking at me weirdly when I was talking to her. Finally, the bill came to 140 dollars, even though my friend with the same issue paid 80 dollars for both vaccines. The receptionist was nice and understanding, hence 2 stars but I wouldn't recommend it.

Based on the limited information available from online customer reviews, insights into the environment and services of the Animal Clinic of New York are mixed. One reviewer who visited the clinic with a cat that had been stung by a bee described a negative experience with some of the staff. According to this review, there was a disagreement with the doctor regarding the necessity of steroid treatment in addition to an antihistamine injection. The reviewer also expressed discomfort with the handling of their cat by a staff member (referred to as a nurse), stating that the cat was grabbed from behind without any acknowledgment of the owner or the pet, leading to the cat's distress. The reviewer further mentioned feeling blamed for their cat's anxiety and perceived odd behavior from the staff when attempting to comfort their pet.

The same review also raised concerns about the cost of the treatment, stating that the $140 bill for an antihistamine injection was significantly higher than what a friend reportedly paid for both vaccines for a similar issue at a different clinic. This discrepancy in pricing led the reviewer to express disappointment and a lack of recommendation for the Animal Clinic of New York, despite acknowledging the receptionist's understanding demeanor.

Another very brief review strongly advises others to avoid the doctor at the Animal Clinic of New York, alleging overcharging and a perceived lack of care. This concise but direct feedback further contributes to a concerning picture based on the available online testimonials. It is important to note that these reviews represent individual experiences and may not reflect the entirety of the clinic's operations or the experiences of all pet owners who have sought care there.

Please avoid this Dr at all cost. 1. She definitely overcharges and 2. She definitely doesn't care.

Dr Doloroso and her team have taken excellent care of our two cats. On one occasion it was for tooth cleaning and, for one cat, tooth extractions. Both cats came out of this very well. On another we took in our cat on the advice of another vet for further teeth cleaning and after examination Dr Doloroso said he was fine for the present and did not take our money. So we have both high respect and appreciation for her. Thank you Dr Doloroso!

I found them in a difficult situation with my cat of 9 years. He became very sick and they helped me treat him and keep him comfortable in his last months to have more time and I even thought he’d live, but when it was time to say, “goodbye”... they were great with us again. I’ve referred people to them and now that I’ve just adopted a new kitten, I’ll be bringing him here, as well as my older cat. They really care about the well being of your pets, the prices are good and the staff is kind and respectful.

Brought my dog there when he had issues with his bowels and it was a great experience! The staff is friendly, and the vet was very helpful and kind towards my dog. She gave me great advice and even called back to check up on my dog 2 days later. Excellent service!
