Feb 23, 2025 · Joan DossI am new to the area and have been on a mission to find my senior citizen pups a new DVM. I tried a few in the area but was completely underwhelmed/disappointed; so I was convinced that I'd never be able to find one as good as our last until I came here. We came in concerned about an open sore on my 10yo dog's mouth that looked infected. After Dr. Heyer examined the sore, she asked if I had any other concerns or questions. I asked a few questions about contradictory info I received from the past two vet visits elsewhere, and she took the time to THOROUGHLY examine him and explain everything from causes/diagnoses to treatment plans. She didn't pressure me into doing anything, she simply provided the diagnosis and offered a variety of options to get an accurate diagnosis and eventually discussed treatment plans. The booking online, vet techs, front desk and vet were all top notch. I highly recommend Dr. Heyer and her team at Animal Care Clinic West.
Feb 19, 2025 · Jaime SpomerI waited 30 minutes with my high stress cat before seeing the vet. The vet did apologize, but both of us were annoyed and ready to leave by this time. The vet was mostly helpful. I agreed to a pheromones collar they said was "like $20 to $25". I also agreed to testing for a UTI. By time I left my bill was over $300 for a healthy cat to get routine shots. I realize it's my fault for not asking more questions about the pricing. My old vet just provided the pricing without asking and it had always felt fair. With this vet, it does not feel fair. After getting home and looking over the bill I see: The phermones collar was $30 and I found it online for $15 which includes shipping. I was charged $12 for disposal (of who knows what?). I scheduled an appointment after receiving an email that the appointment would be 25% if I scheduled by a certain date. I did not get this discount, which I did forget to remind them but I don't think I should have to (after being at the vet for well over an hour my cat was ready to go). I used to appreciate this vet had separate entrances for dogs and cats due to my cats' anxiety. They remodeled, and this is no longer the case.
Nov 19, 2024 · JennI just moved to the area not too long ago, and had to bring my dog Cornelius in to get an exam, after he came home from boarding with skin irritation and inflammation. I didn’t hesitate and called as soon as they were open, because I always worry when my baby isn’t acting like his usual self. I was so impressed with how quick they were able to fit a new patient in, and they all absolutely loved him like their own! And immediately upon walking in, he was comfortable and bouncing all over. Pricing was very reasonable, and everything was explained thoroughly for his momma to understand. Would definitely recommend!
