After a freak accident with our cat who ended up with a fractured jaw, the dental team, especially Dr. Washington and vet tech Becca, have been absolutely amazing and accommodating. From our initial consultation, to surgery, to us freaking out about every little thing, we have been met with such compassion and understanding. We were made aware of each step before, during, and after our first surgery which was very comforting. They listen to all our concerns and make sure to reassure us in moments of panic. We are extremely thankful and happy with the results thus far. We are looking forward to continuing our journey to recovery! Our girl has made a full recovery, wouldn't have been possible without the help of the dental team. Will return/recommend for any future dental needs!

Animal Care Center of Barrington is an absolutely outstanding vet office, both the dental department and main care department. You will get excellent care for your pet. Here's my story: After I discovered a mass in my dog's mouth, my vet referred me to the dental specialty department at Animal Care Center of Barrington. They were able to fit us in for an exam the very next day, and scheduled the biopsy for 3 days later. Because it was such a serious situation, it was so amazing they were able to get my dog seen and taken care of so quickly. My dog felt so comfortable there despite having a reactive and anxious temperament. In the initial exam, Dr. Washington was able to easily examine inside my dog's mouth which my regular vet was not able to do. She spent a lot of time with me answering all of my questions. The vet techs were also all incredibly kind and knowledgeable. The office provided a detailed estimate for her diagnostic procedure, which included anesthesia/CT imaging/biopsy/tooth extraction, and it broke down the cost of every item involved. During the procedure where she was there for several hours, they kept in contact with me every step of the way. Ultimately, my dog's mass was a malignant oral cancer, it had spread into the bone and it was in an inoperable location. They prescribed us pain meds so she could be as comfortable as possible. Since my dog was so much more comfortable with this vet office compared to my regular vet, I asked if they could perform euthanasia services for her when the time came, and they said they absolutely would (even though my dog and I were not clients of their main care dept). The euthanasia process was so calming and supportive. They had this amazing room set up for us that had couches and pretty decorations, a comfy blanket on the floor, lots of tissues, and jars of treats and chocolates. Dr. Hughes performed the euthanasia, and she was so kind, patient, and comforting. My dog went very peacefully, eating Reese's peanut butter cups :) I'm so thankful that it was this vet office that provided care for my dog and helped me navigate her cancer in her final weeks of life. They made an extremely painful situation easier to deal with. I wish they had been her primary care provider throughout her life. I chose Animal Care Center as my primary care vet for my kitty Bella who I adopted 12/5/23. She sees Dr Williams who I found to be an amazing Dr; she’s very personable, empathetic, a good listener, and very knowledgeable. I found her to be patient with me and all my questions were answered at every visit. What I really love is that she returns your calls and as swiftly as she can…as someone who suffers with anxiety, that matters so much to me. I am very pleased with her and the quality care she has provided my Bella so far. Looking for a vet in Barrington and surrounding towns, I recommend ACC- Barrington.

Layla is a rescue who joined our family 2 years ago. When her buddy, our golden passed away last year she was really missing him. I decided to let her try doggie day care here. Not only does she love it, it keeps her interacting with other dogs of all ages. I’ve never boarded our dogs but she loved it so much I decided to have her board there when I was away on vacation. She walked in excitedly and was happy and loved while I was gone. I’ve even switched and made this my preferred veterinarian for Layla! I would and do, heartily recommend this place to my friends and clients!

We were referred for veterinary dental service here by our primary vet. Our 3 year old domestic short heart kitty was experiencing lots of inflammation in her gums. Dr. Ford recommended a full mouth tooth extraction—this felt like a big decision for us to make for our sweet girl, and she took all of our concerns to heart and answered our questions with empathy and incredible knowledge. We went through with the surgery, and our baby is thriving. We cannot recommend Dr. Ford and the team here enough. Her skill and compassion are second to none and this entire team is patient, helpful, and caring.
