The best place to take your furr baby to. These people have been exceptionally great at helping us keep our cat Tom as healthy as possible for several months after diagnosis. Ultimately, the cancer took Tom’s life, but we trust that we did everything possible to keep him for as long as possible. Highly recommend this establishment.

Nov 20, 2024 · Brandon OwensIn May, my baby Althea was diagnosed with a mammary tumor and we were referred to Animal Cancer Care Clinic. Dr. Ruddle and the whole staff were great to us. Most vets we’ve been to haven’t understood or been patient with Althea’s anxiety and the team here was so incredibly kind and patient with her it made us all feel safe and cared for. Dr. Ruddle was able to operate and remove the entire tumor and then referred us to Dr. Sones for oncology. Dr. Sones was so good to us. He answered every question I had, took the time to explain every treatment option, and talked us through this incredibly difficult time. He was a great support and incredibly knowledgeable. It’s obvious everyone here cares very deeply about their patients. He always called me back to talk about treatment options, side effects, and any questions I had. He made sure we felt supported and understood everything that was going on. The nurses and vet techs were incredible. Althea trusted them. They took the time to make her feel comfortable and safe. They didn’t think she was mean or reactive, they understood she was just nervous and protective of her family. No vet we’ve ever been to has been as kind or patient as the team here. Unfortunately, we lost Althea suddenly last week. The team did everything they could to prevent this and I believe they gave her an extra 8 weeks of happiness. It’s hard. Cancer sucks. I miss her so much. I’m grateful for the team here and everyone who gave Althea their all and treated her with so much love and kindness. Thank you for trying to save my best friend. She loved all her friends at Animal Cancer Care Clinic. My only comment is that the emergency line is only 24 hours Monday-Wednesday. Althea passed late Thursday into Friday. Once she started to decline, we called the emergency service, left a voicemail explaining her symptoms and the urgency of the situation with a number to call us back, we never got a response or call back. This was really scary because there’s no after hours support for half the week. You can’t schedule an emergency like this, a call back at least would’ve been comforting.
Sep 03, 2024 · Karen GutensohnMy husband and I found out that our pup, Sherlock, had a tumor on the roof of his mouth near his canine in December. It felt so overwhelming when thinking of options/treatment plans. Thankfully we had found out about Animal Care Clinic and saw the remarkable reviews and knew we had to try and get an appointment there. We scheduled a consultation first, the staff was so kind to us and the surgeon did a wonderful job at explaining exactly what the surgery would be like, what needed to be removed and what care would look like afterwards. It was still scary, but we felt more at ease to move forward. Our appointment was scheduled and the day of they let us stay with Sherlock until they were ready to take him back. They kept us updated and were so kind. They followed up with us to check in to see how he was doing too. His surgery was in January, (photo below) there’s an after photo (first week after surgery with his little tooth poking out) and then a recent photo with his little lamb chop toy. Sherlock is happy, so we’re very happy. He eats normally, and plays just the same. We’re SO THANKFUL to the whole staff and everyone who made this really hard journey feel safe for us!
Mar 28, 2024 · charlene accetturoSo where do i start, we have owned several dogs thought out our lives, never one like this. His name is Champ, our son named him, he is a labahoola, half lab and catahoola, the most human type dog i have ever seen. Champ had a mass growing on his liver, he had a bad bleed from this and we took him to the emergency vet close by. They did all kinds of test and after the CT scan said they would not touch this and to enjoy the next several months with him. So we took him to the Cancer Care center, Tammi Ruddle was very concerned, she said the mass was in a bad place, we opted for surgery as we just felt good about her and her assistant Vickey.half way through the surgery Tammy called with not so good news, she said the mass was in an even worst area than she thought, we told her to go through with it, take a chance, i asked God to guide her hands. And hour later she called and said Champ was in recovery and going to be ok! She said God did guide her hands! It was that bad of a surgery and she stated she hopes she never has to do this again. We say yes she can! After the surgery Tammy called and said she was going to stay and spend the night with Champ! Who does this Tammy Ruddle that’s who. This staff is off the chain, from the receptionist to Vickey and Tammy. Do not let anyone tell you it can’t be done until you talk with Tammy. Our boy had his stitches out and is back to better than normal. It has been an emotional rollercoaster for sure but Tammy made the difference. These folks saved our boy! .
Feb 28, 2025 · Dale KravisThe team here is fantastic. Super informative and reassuring. They treat your fur baby as if it were their own. They stick quite well to appointment times and the surgens are quick and thorough. Sutures are clean and they even ice the surgical site to help with swelling. Plus they call you as soon as they are out of surgery.
