I have been bringing my pets here for 15 years, a total of four throughout those years. Recently my beloved beautiful American Curl 9-year-old cat came down with a case of fleas she was an indoor cat. Very quickly she deteriorated after being treated and bathed. Within 2 days she was found on a shelf with blood on her fur and suffering terribly. The only thing I can say good about this final experience here is that they got me in very late in the afternoon that same day. I had them do blood work and was told that her body temperature was very low and her red blood cell count severely low. They put her in an incubator for one to two hours. I called to get the labs emailed to me the next day and was horrified at how bad her markers were, and nothing was said about the extensiveness of this. No clue why so suddenly she was deteriorating. But I was told that she would need three to five blood transfusions at an emergency clinic likely in Fort Wayne. I asked what her best chances were, and if I should leave her there overnight so they could incubate her further. I received a quote for a total of around $760 including the approximate $150 boarding fee. I have kept a cat for 3 days here that was sick in the past, but the tech came right back in and said that it would be too cold there overnight and there would be nobody there so that option suddenly disappeared. The vet said that the blood was from her licking her fur due to the fleas, it clearly was not, they kept her incubated for a bit and gave her fluids under her skin, and that was it for the $600 bill; I was in the waiting room, they gave somebody else my room; who does that?!?! and while I sat in the lobby in despair, crying and so worried; it was the end of the day, a staff member actually sat in front of me in the lobby visiting with a woman who had a cat that she clearly knew and she was all jolly and laughing literally watching me cry and in despair with no regard whatsoever. I was told to take her home just as she was after being told with the quote that she could stay there overnight; they did not want to bother with it and dismissed it and her like she didn't matter, but she was everything to me and she deserved better and that is why I'm leaving this review, for her, and for everyone out there who has yet to experience something so awful and heart wrenching here. They don't care as long as it's convenient and easy and they think you have the money, after all it is only about the money, and I paid it and had it to give. They are way overpriced, they are completely fake in their professionalism, and I found this last experience to be heartless. How dare you sit there in front of me while you give somebody else my room and you're ready to go home laughing and joking while watching me cry and grieve. I had to take my kitty the next evening and have her euthanized in Mishawaka, she was clearly not going to make it. For those of you considering going here or keeping your pets here I hope you are one of the few that at the end of their lives end up having a positive experience, I urge you to find somewhere else. And if you read the reviews there are way too many that reveal the same. I will never ever go back here again nor will they ever get another dime from me. And Animal aid clinic south, do not bother to respond to this review with your rhetoric blah blah oh we're so sorry for your experience, save it. I'm sure you'll get in your file and remember me I don't care. I will be making sure that people know at the end of the day know what you really are about, shame on all of you and you should not even be in business; pathetic. This was my furry ball of complete sunshine; rare, unique, loving, loyal, feisty, courageous, playful, and so smart and absolutely beautiful. THIS was her, and so much more, and this is ultimately for her. SHE DESERVED BETTER.

It's $85.00 just to see your pet. The staff is very friendly. The flea treatment is $28.00 for one dose. It was easy and fast to get the appointment on the day I wanted but it's very pricey. Here's a picture of my cat

Unfortunately my dog passed but the staff all did great and was very understanding. They let me hold onto him until he passed which was peaceful but heartbreaking for my family. I'm just glad he's no longer in pain. They took him when I asked them to otherwise I would've stayed there.
