Ani-Care Animal Hospital

I have been seeing this vet for about four years now, after trying two different exotic vets. When I first brought Michael, my iguana, to the clinic, he was a very sick and malnourished rescue, as seen in the first image. He was losing teeth and had a misaligned jaw amoung other issues. Naturally, I wanted his mouth checked, but the first vet I visited used a metal rod to force his mouth open, which caused even more bleeding. Needless to say, I didn’t return to that vet. I finally ended up here, and I have been incredibly pleased with the care Dr. Feinsod has provided for Michael. Unlike the first vet, he avoided using a metal rod to pry open Michael’s jaws when he was in such a fragile state. You can see from the other images how far Michael has come in four years! Dr. Feinsod has also gone above and beyond for my axolotl, Mango, who suffers from dwarfism. At my request, he x-rayed her and even created a custom diet plan to keep her as slim as possible, minimizing unnecessary pressure on her organs.

Amazing vet and staff. I switched all 6 of my ferrets to Dr. Feinsod when we moved to PA and the care here is beyond great. Over the last couple months two of my older ferrets ended up needing surgery (for separate illnesses at separate times). Dr. Feinsod took the time to explain everything and answer any questions I had. Both of my babies are currently doing great, and I absolutely credit that to them having a good vet who is clearly knowledgeable about small animal care. The techs and office staff are so kind and they always manage to get us in when we have an emergency. I’m so glad I brought my babies here and I don’t intend to ever take them anywhere else. A good ferret vet is not easy to find. 💜

The doctor and staff care, you can tell. Prices are more than fair, even for the exotics. Yup, they see them all. I travel a little over an hour and it's worth it. I know my animals are in good hands. I won't be taking my bunnies anywhere else.

Brilliant vet. I have been taking my chinchilla here for years and wouldn’t go anywhere else. After a botched oral surgery from a vet in Harrisburg years ago, Dr. Feinsod has continued to go above and beyond to give her the best care I could ask for. If you have an exotic pet, I wouldn’t recommend anyone but him. We drive over an hour for him to see both our chinchilla and our dog because of his true compassion for treating animals and is always so thorough in his treatment plans. Can’t thank him and his staff enough for everything

I was very impressed with Anicare. The receptionist and tech were extremely kind and pleasant. Dr. Feinsod was very informative and knowledgeable. I was seen today when my 1.5 year old duck, Hazel, seemed very unwell. I didn't know where to turn. I had my appointment and the vet administered the emergency care needed on my very sick bird. The next few days are critical, but I am so happy that Hazel feels a bit better after her initial treatment and hopefully she will continue to improve with additional treatment by Dr. Feinsod.
