Welcome to Amazon Park Animal Clinic
Welcome to the introduction of Amazon Park Animal Clinic, a "Pet Hospital" located at 725 E 25th Ave, Eugene, OR 97405, USA. You can contact them at (541) 485-0161 or their mobile number +1 541-485-0161. Based on available customer reviews, experiences at this clinic appear to be mixed, with positive feedback regarding the veterinary doctors and some concerns raised about the front desk staff.
One reviewer shared a positive experience, highlighting that "Dr. Jones has an amazing memory with animals" and that "Dr. Hayward is also a very caring vet." This review also praised the staff overall, noting their kindness and the way they "see the animals as your family," concluding with a strong recommendation. This suggests that the veterinary care provided by the doctors at Amazon Park Animal Clinic is often perceived as compassionate and knowledgeable.
However, another, more detailed review presents a contrasting perspective, particularly concerning the professionalism and consistency of the front desk staff during recent visits. This reviewer mentioned instances of a front desk employee openly sharing other clients' private information, expressing unprofessional opinions about customers, and providing inconsistent information regarding medical test results for a terminally ill pet. The reviewer detailed a series of miscommunications and a perceived lack of empathy and accountability from the front desk, which significantly impacted their overall experience and trust in the clinic. Despite acknowledging the kindness and helpfulness of the veterinarians they had seen, the negative interactions with the front desk led this reviewer to no longer recommend the clinic.
Considering these contrasting viewpoints, it's challenging to definitively describe the "environment" of Amazon Park Animal Clinic. The positive review suggests a caring atmosphere where staff view pets as family. Conversely, the negative review paints a picture of a front desk that, at least during the reviewer's recent experiences, was unprofessional and inconsiderate. Therefore, the environment might be perceived differently depending on individual interactions, particularly with the front desk personnel.
Regarding "services," the reviews don't explicitly list them. However, as a "Pet Hospital," Amazon Park Animal Clinic likely offers a range of veterinary services, which typically include:
- General wellness exams and preventative care.
- Vaccinations.
- Treatment for illnesses and injuries.
- Diagnostic services (as implied by the mention of ultrasound results).
- Prescription medications (as indicated by the "urgent care cat food").
- Potentially surgical procedures and dental care.
To obtain a comprehensive list of all services offered, contacting the clinic directly would be advisable.
The "features" of Amazon Park Animal Clinic, based on the provided reviews, include:
- Caring and Knowledgeable Veterinarians: Dr. Jones and Dr. Hayward are specifically mentioned for their excellent care and memory with animals.
- Kind Staff (General Perception): One reviewer found the staff to be kind and empathetic towards pets.
- Availability of Urgent Care Products: The clinic sells "urgent care cat food," indicating they provide products to support pet health needs.
However, a significant concern raised is the "unprofessional, inconsiderate, and inconsistent" behavior of the front desk staff, which appears to be a notable negative feature based on one detailed account.
Currently, there is no "promotional information" available in the provided text. Veterinary clinics often have promotions for specific services (like dental month) or for new clients. To inquire about any current promotions at Amazon Park Animal Clinic, you would need to contact them directly.
In summary, Amazon Park Animal Clinic in Eugene, OR, as a "Pet Hospital," seems to have a team of caring and knowledgeable veterinarians, as highlighted by one positive review. However, a more recent detailed review raises significant concerns about the professionalism and customer service of the front desk staff, citing instances of breached confidentiality, unprofessional conduct, and miscommunication. This suggests that while the medical care provided by the vets may be commendable, the administrative and client-facing aspects might be inconsistent.
For local users considering Amazon Park Animal Clinic, it would be prudent to weigh the positive feedback regarding the veterinarians against the negative experiences reported with the front desk. If you value compassionate veterinary care, the clinic may be a good fit. However, being aware of the potential for administrative issues might be helpful. To learn more about their services, hours, and any current promotions, or to address any concerns raised in the reviews, please contact Amazon Park Animal Clinic directly at (541) 485-0161. Dec 29, 2024 · Stefan StrekTo preface this review, the vets themselves I've seen here have been kind and helpful for the most part and I don't hold any hard feelings towards them. The front desk upon my last few visits was unbelievably unprofessional, inconsiderate, and inconsistent. While I was waiting for my cat the young brown haired woman at the front desk openly said two other clients full names, the issues she had with them, and one of their phone numbers. I attempted to play this off since I also work in customer service, but rather than moving on she doubled down and told me that she preferred this job to retail because the rude customers actually get what they deserve here. While I understand how difficult customers can be, while working in a veterinary office you need to have a level of understanding and compassion that other professions may not need as much. I had just gotten horrible news about my beloved animal and I had no interest in listening to her front desk worker gripe about how horrible people can be. After this, I tried to move forward and the same woman left me a message saying that it would take the entire weekend to get the ultrasound results for my terminally ill cat, when I called to double check I was told by a different front desk woman that I would receive test results the next day for my cat. The next day I didn't receive any contact from them and when I called they told me I would have to wait the weekend and that I was never told that I would receive the results that day. I went in person to the office to buy more of their urgent care cat food (which has been very helpful) and both front desk attendants were stand offish rude about the test results I was waiting for, and when someone in the back admitted to having been the one to tell me I would get the results that day, no effort was made to apologize for the confusion or any accountability taken. I did end up getting a call that day and was told they would contact me Monday again to followup. I didn't receive a follow up call until Wednesday. I don't know when this office went so downhill, I used to recommend them to my friends and family before this, but the whole experience was horribly disorganized and inconsiderate to my feelings while I was in the midst of grieving my cat. I no longer trust this staff with my animals. I hope they can learn from these mistakes and return to being compassionate caretakers, but currently they have a long way to go.
Aug 27, 2024 · emmaroseDr. Jones is a truly amazing veterinarian. He is friendly, knowledgeable and his love of animals shines through in his interactions with them. My last dog loved him so much that he'd get jealous when the doctor petted other animals in the waiting room. When I moved across town, I switched vets for a short time but came back because the other office used vet techs for most of the visit who were rough. Dr. Jones is a gentle, hands-on vet and spends time with you to answer questions rather than just popping in for the "medical parts" and delegating the rest out. He is also pragmatic and doesn't suggest expensive procedures you animal doesn't really need. That trustworthiness is reassuring when you're faced with difficult decisions - more than once, he has eased my mind that euthanasia was the kind thing to do for a beloved pet. He has been my family's vet now for about 20 years.

Feb 18, 2024 · Jodene HeiderWe love Dr Jones and all of the ladies that have cared for our babies over the years. They have loved our babies and cried with us when they’ve crossed the rainbow bridge. Dr. Jones sat on the floor with us and walked us through that heartbreaking 💔 experience. It gave us so much comfort. I won’t trust anything until I clear it through Dr. Jones first. 💗 😊 We are grateful for everything they do.
