All Species Animal Hospital

The local ferret rescue told me after-the-fact "I would not take a dying ferret there". I didn't know. I took my dying ferret there on a Sunday. I drove over 2 hours to get here because everywhere else was closed or didn't take ferrets. My little guy was not acting right and his abdomen was grossly distended. Dr Innocent made me feel like an idiot and told me we just need to encourage him to eat. He was rough when examining him. His lack of compassion stood out to me compared to the other vets my ferret has visited. An ultrasound obviously should have been performed. They proceeded to try to charge me $130 for a $23 tube of protein supplement. When I declined, they "double checked" my chart and came up with new charges for checking my ferret's vital signs. This should be included the $230 emergency examination. There are signs in the lobby that threaten to call the police if you dispute their billing. I politely asked about the additional charges and the front desk worker stared at me and asked if we were going to have a problem. I paid for everything and left right away. I was never given a chart or instructions for continuing care. My ferret's condition never improved and he passed away of lymphoma 3 days later. My experience with Dr.Innocent caused me to delay his care since I thought he was stable and just needed to eat more. After consulting with other ferret specialists, it seems I was scammed by this place. They take advantage of people panicking about their pet's health and exploit them into paying exorbitant prices for treatment and supplies. I waited to write this review because I genuinely suspect they'll try to somehow collect more money from me when they see this review.

These people provided wonderful and kind care to my ferret Possum. She was so sick, couldn't move. We didnt think she had good chances. Dr Innocent gave us a care plan but also warned us she may not make it since she was very sick. We followed that care plan to a T and she started to become her old self again!!! When we came in for her follow up we got hormone blockers for her and her brother as preventative care. Could not say higher praises for these people!! Thank you guys so much we are happy and Ghost is happy to have his sister Possum. 💕

My cockatiel was scratched by one of our cats while I was not aware that the cat was in the room. At first I was not sure what to do and noticed that my bird’s condition got worst the following day. When I went to All Species, they were very informative on what needed to be done and its procedures. I knew how much the cost was going to be given birds are considered exotic pets. I ask how successful will the recovery would be and they were confident that my cockatiel would be taken care of as they have displayed past clients that went to the same situation. I am glad that I went this place and my bird is doing well.

I do not recommend this vet. It took me a while to write this review but back in November I came to this place because my ferret was in pain and dying. They charged me close to $500 to check vitals and put it to sleep. They put it to sleep using the gas chamber instead of injection which is a horrible way to die. I didn’t know any better til later when I did my research! I then called several other vets nearby and they charge no more than $200 for the same stuff this place did to my ferret and they actually use injection to euthanize because gas chamber is considered inhumane! Not to mention the price is completely outrageous! Fortunately I found a top of the line vet not too far who does exotics and regular pets and they do an awesome job and for way cheaper!

Very friendly and helpful. I’ve had lots of experiences with exotic vets and this vet was by far the best. They had no difficulty diagnosing and handling my small animal. The staff has called to check on my baby a week after both appointments to ask about her symptoms. The pricing is very affordable too !
