I really need to let everyone know how sad, disappointed and concerned I am about the medical care at All Creatures on Lyons Ave. However, I want to start with the positive. The front staff at All Creatures were amazing and not only kind and supportive but very knowledgeable and patient. The first vet we saw after we rushed our dog to the clinic for an uncontrolled ear flap bleed was very kind and cared about the well-being of our pet. She collided with our other dog for a tennis ball. We were seen almost immediately and were grateful for their quick response. This vet honestly did what she thought would work to control her bleed, but after 24 hours and removing the ear wrap, the ear was still bleeding. We took her back immediately and met with Dr. Frank Marco. He chose to sedate the dog and cauterize the bleed. He did another ear wrap and told us it would need to remain on for 10 days and for $300 more in fees. Much to our horror HE STAPLED OUR DOG’s BANDAGE TO HER HEAD, so “it wouldn’t move” and gave her Ace to sedate her for the next 10 Days. Very concerned, but trusting the vet, we were told that this is done regularly. It was awful. Our pet was miserable and suffering more than ever. We waited a day and brought our pet back to our regular vet, Dr. Brink and Dr. Tran at Santa Clarita Animal Hospital. They removed the staples and bandage, put 1 stitch in the ear and observed for bleeding for 1 hour. No bleeding. Our dog was sent home with no wrap , a bacterial infection from the other wrap but very comfortable. Please avoid Dr. Frank Marco!! Our pet suffered greatly from his “care” and we never want to have this happen again to any dog or cat. They can’t talk so we need to. we are saddened to have to write this review and are hoping this vet can be re-educated or retire from the profession. Thank you for taking the time to read this review.

As a category leader in "Pet Hospital" services, All Creatures Veterinary Center offers a wide array of medical, surgical, and preventive care options designed to cater to the diverse needs of pets. The facility is equipped to handle routine check-ups, vaccinations, and dental care, all crucial for maintaining long-term pet health. They also provide diagnostic services, including in-house laboratory testing and imaging, to accurately identify and address health concerns. For more complex cases, surgical procedures are performed with a focus on safety and effective outcomes. Beyond the medical aspects, the center understands the emotional bond between pets and their owners, striving to create a supportive and understanding environment for both.

While specific details about the internal environment are not publicly detailed, a pet hospital of this caliber typically features a welcoming reception area, comfortable waiting rooms, and separate examination rooms to ensure privacy and minimize stress for pets. Surgical suites are generally sterilized and equipped with advanced monitoring equipment. Recovery areas are designed to provide a calm and safe space for animals recuperating from procedures. The overall atmosphere is usually geared towards reducing anxiety for animals, with features like non-slip flooring, calming scents, and sometimes even separate waiting areas for cats and dogs.

The range of services offered at All Creatures Veterinary Center extends beyond general medical care. They likely provide emergency services for urgent situations, understanding that unforeseen circumstances can arise at any time. This often includes treatment for injuries, sudden illnesses, and poisonings. Additionally, specialized services such as dermatology, ophthalmology, and cardiology might be available, either in-house or through referrals to specialists. The center also emphasizes preventive care, offering guidance on nutrition, parasite control, and behavior management to help pet owners proactively maintain their pets' well-being. This holistic approach ensures that pets receive care that addresses both their immediate needs and their long-term health goals.

A key feature of All Creatures Veterinary Center, as highlighted by customer feedback, is the dedication and professionalism of its front office staff. Many reviews consistently praise the team for being "amazing, kind, and caring," as well as "knowledgeable and patient." This level of customer service is crucial in a veterinary setting, as it often sets the tone for the entire client experience. The ability of the staff to keep pet owners informed and up-to-date on their pets' conditions, as noted in one positive review, demonstrates a commitment to clear communication and transparency. Furthermore, the quick response time in urgent situations, such as the immediate attention given to a dog with an ear flap bleed, showcases the center's readiness to handle critical cases efficiently. This responsiveness is a vital component of effective emergency veterinary care, offering peace of mind to worried pet owners.

However, it is important to provide a balanced view, acknowledging all feedback received. One customer review raises significant concerns regarding the medical care provided by a specific veterinarian, Dr. Frank Marco. This review describes a highly distressing experience involving a stapled ear bandage and prolonged suffering for their pet, leading to a strong recommendation to avoid this particular doctor. The customer's decision to seek a second opinion and the subsequent, more comfortable resolution provided by another veterinary hospital, underscores the importance of client advocacy and the potential for varied outcomes in veterinary treatment. This feedback, while concerning, serves as a reminder for prospective clients to engage in open communication with their veterinarians, ask questions about treatment plans, and seek clarification when necessary. It also highlights the subjective nature of medical care and the importance of finding a veterinary professional whose approach aligns with your expectations and comfort level.

In terms of promotional information, while specific current offers or discounts are not detailed in the provided text, pet hospitals often engage in various promotions to benefit their clients. These can include seasonal vaccination drives, discounted dental cleaning packages, or introductory offers for new clients. Many also offer wellness plans, which are subscription-based programs designed to cover routine preventive care at a fixed monthly cost, helping pet owners budget for their pet's health needs throughout the year. It's advisable for interested individuals to contact All Creatures Veterinary Center directly or visit their website (if available) to inquire about any ongoing promotions or wellness programs that might be beneficial for their pets. Additionally, some veterinary centers participate in community outreach programs or offer educational seminars on pet health topics, demonstrating their commitment to the local pet-owning community.

Overall, All Creatures Veterinary Center aims to provide essential veterinary services to the Newhall community. While positive feedback highlights the excellent front office staff and quick emergency response, the negative feedback regarding a specific veterinary procedure suggests the importance of individual patient experiences. Prospective clients are encouraged to conduct their own due diligence, perhaps by visiting the facility, speaking with the staff, and discussing any concerns about specific treatments or procedures with the veterinarians, to determine if All Creatures Veterinary Center is the right fit for their pet's healthcare needs.

I was recommended by a friend to take my dog in that needed attention. The lobby is very nice, clean, homey feel with very nice employees. The Vet and assistance were not like other L.A. animal clinics where everyone is a number and the vet is not personal. I drove a bit from L.A. but it was a nice drive and would recommend to any pet parent. They worked out a plan and instead a big bill of surprise found alternatives the vet was quick to help my dog and my issues. I have a private rescue and will be making more visits as I felt at home and my pet was in great care. The best part is that they are always open and do not charge for after hours fees. They really care for your pet and I thank you guys so much.
