Alisos Animal Hospital Introduce
Welcome to the introduction of Alisos Animal Hospital, a distinguished pet hospital dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate veterinary care. While our physical location is in Mission Viejo, California, USA, we understand the importance of finding the right healthcare partner for your beloved pets, no matter where you are. This introduction aims to provide local users with a detailed overview of Alisos Animal Hospital, highlighting our environment, services, features, and the heartfelt experiences shared by our valued clients. We operate within the category of a full-service Pet Hospital, offering a wide array of services and potentially related goods to ensure the health and happiness of your animal companions.
At Alisos Animal Hospital, we strive to create a welcoming and stress-free environment for both you and your pet. We understand that visiting a veterinary hospital can sometimes be an anxious experience for animals. Therefore, our facility is designed with comfort and functionality in mind. While specific details about the clinic's aesthetics are not provided in the reviews, the consistent mention of a "warm and attentive" staff suggests a positive and caring atmosphere from the moment you step through our doors. Cleanliness, organization, and a soothing ambiance are typically hallmarks of a well-regarded veterinary practice, and we aim to embody these qualities.
Our core offering lies in the comprehensive range of veterinary services we provide. Based on the available reviews, Alisos Animal Hospital offers both routine checkups and care for more urgent medical needs. The positive experience of Molly, a dog who enjoys her visits, indicates that preventative care, such as wellness exams and vaccinations, is a significant part of our practice. These routine visits are crucial for maintaining your pet's long-term health, allowing for early detection of potential issues and personalized advice on nutrition and lifestyle.
Furthermore, the detailed account of Agamemnon, the kitten with a paw pad issue, showcases our expertise in diagnosing and treating more complex medical conditions. This case highlights our ability to handle dermatological issues, perform diagnostic procedures like X-rays and biopsies, and address serious illnesses such as cancer. The fact that Dr. Bahou administered local antibiotics and steroids initially suggests a thorough approach to even seemingly minor problems, followed by more advanced diagnostics when the initial treatment was ineffective.
Surgical intervention is also a part of our service offerings, as demonstrated by Agamemnon's amputation surgery. This complex procedure required careful consideration and collaboration between the veterinary team and the pet owners. The willingness of Dr. Bahou to discuss the procedure in detail, consider the owners' concerns about balance and grooming, and ultimately agree to an above-the-elbow amputation reflects a patient-centered approach that values open communication and shared decision-making.
Post-operative care is another critical aspect of our services. The repeated check-up visits for Agamemnon and the touching detail of the heart cut out of medical tape on his incision site underscore our commitment to attentive and compassionate aftercare. This level of personal touch goes beyond standard medical procedures and demonstrates a genuine concern for the pet's comfort and recovery.
A key feature of Alisos Animal Hospital is undoubtedly our dedicated and compassionate team, led by Dr. Bahou. The reviews consistently praise the staff for their warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care for the animals. Dr. Bahou is described as "incredibly knowledgeable, thorough, and compassionate," taking the time to explain treatments and answer all questions. This emphasis on clear communication and patient education empowers pet owners to make informed decisions about their animal's health.
The fact that Molly "actually enjoys her visits" speaks volumes about the gentle and reassuring manner in which our team interacts with animals. Building trust and minimizing anxiety in our patients is a top priority. Dr. Bahou's interaction with Agamemnon, including petting, examining, scratching, and even a kiss on the forehead, illustrates a deep connection with the animals under his care. This level of affection and personal attention can make a significant difference in a pet's comfort level during veterinary visits.
The willingness of Dr. Bahou to involve pet owners in the treatment process, as seen in the discussion about Agamemnon's amputation, is another significant feature. We believe in a collaborative approach to veterinary care, where the owner's concerns and insights are valued and considered in the development of a treatment plan. This ensures that the best possible outcome is achieved while respecting the bond between the owner and their pet.
While specific promotional information is not available in the provided reviews, the overwhelmingly positive feedback serves as a powerful testament to the quality of care provided at Alisos Animal Hospital. The repeated recommendations from satisfied customers highlight the trust and confidence they have in our team and services. For local users seeking a reliable and compassionate pet hospital, the experiences shared by Molly and Agamemnon's owners offer compelling reasons to consider Alisos Animal Hospital for your pet's healthcare needs.
In summary, Alisos Animal Hospital, operating as a comprehensive Pet Hospital, offers a welcoming environment, a wide range of veterinary services from routine checkups to complex medical and surgical care, and a team of dedicated professionals led by the knowledgeable and compassionate Dr. Bahou. Our commitment to clear communication, patient-centered care, and a genuine love for animals sets us apart. While we are located in Mission Viejo, California, the principles of quality care, empathy, and expertise that define our practice are universal. We encourage local users to consider the positive experiences shared by our clients as an indication of the exceptional care your pets will receive at Alisos Animal Hospital. We strive to treat every pet like family, ensuring their health and well-being are always our top priority.

Nov 07, 2024 · Jeff RehmarTL; DR - Dr. Bahou and his wonderful staff ACTUALLY CARE about your pet. We had our young little warrior kitten, Agamemnon, burst one of his paw pads. It would heal and burst once a month. Took him in to get checked out. Dr. Bahou came in, picked him up, pet him a bit (I could tell he was examining him), set him down on the table and continued, scratched his neck behind his ears and kissed his forehead. I knew then, we were in the right place. Weeks of in and out visits led to an examination of his paw. Dr. Bahou had given him local antibiotics and steroids to help fight off a possible infection but it didn't work. X-rays revealed a growth, did a biopsy and found out it was a rare but slow growing blood cancer. When we talked about amputation my wife was very concerned. Dr. Bahou originally wanted to do a full amputation, when we talked it over about a above the elbow, he agreed that for balance, grooming and playing, an above the elbow might be better. I don't know if it was against his better judgement, but he made us feel like we were really part of the process. He wanted my little warrior to have as much of his old life as he could, or at least gave the perception that he did - which made my wife very happy. Still more weeks of in and out for check ups post op. We pick him up and find a little heart cut out of medical tape on his nubbin (picture). He's healing well, no irritation, infection, or bleeding. Agamemnon gets his stitches of soon, and he's already back to his old self! Albeit a little more off balance lol 29/10 you should go to Dr. Bahou.
Jun 29, 2020 · Jake TaeckensDr Bahou is a special veterinarian. A few years ago I got a new little puppy (bully pit) and I brought my new best friend to Dr Bahou for checkup, shots, etc. Dr Bahou literally took a couple minutes out of what may be deemed a normal checkup to just sort of hang out with the puppy-dog and feel out its personality. Makes complete sense for any Dr (of humans or pets) to do honestly. You’d be hard pressed to find your own self a general physician that cares for his/her patients at this level.
Mar 17, 2024 · Below BaselineOur Labradoodle Benni ate toxic pot pourri one week ago. She became violently ill and in severe pain. Dr. Bahou took her right in and she spent 4 days in the hospital, over the weekend. Dr. Bahou came in Sat. and Sun. and updated us as to her progress. She received wonderful, skilled care and treatment and here, one week later she's home and eating and acting normal. Dr. Bahou is the best vet we've ever had and I wouldn't think of going anywhere else. Thank heavens for a vet who cares and is so good at treatment in all kinds of situations.
Feb 15, 2018 · Carlene SmithDo not believe any of these reviews. Everyone working here tells false information. First I scheduled an appointment and four hours before my appointment I was called and asked to come in an hour from the call. This place does not respect your schedule or time. I told them I couldn’t change with that short of notice. They made it seem like it was my fault that the scheduled and confirmed time for several weeks, now “didn’t work for them”. Begrudgingly they said I could come at a later time closer to my original appointment time. Upon arrival, the employees were rude and disorganized. The vet, who I believe was a temp, was the only friendly and kind person. She said to complete the rest of the vaccines I needed to come back in a month. The front desk scheduled an appointment for me for the vaccines that they couldn’t complete. Fast forward one month later, i requested to get off work early to make the only appointment they had available. I show up and they are confused why I’m there. There’s no record (apparently) of what I was scheduled for. Because I’m not a vet and I don’t know what they entered in the system last appointment, I tried to explain what I was told from my prior visit. The woman who was helping me was rude, condescending and the least helpful person I have ever came in contact with. Please save your sanity and time and find another place to go. Maybe they don’t like new clients but this is one of the worst clinics I’ve been to, if not the worst in 15 years of owning pets.
