Alder creek takes such good care of both of my dogs. Recently Dr. Miller had to do a foreign body removal on one of my pups. She was amazing! She did her best to avoid the surgery but once we knew it had to happen; she made sure we knew what was going on every step of the way and checked in multiple times after surgery, as did the front desk gals. I’m amazed, even after surgery both my dogs are always excited to go to Alder Creek! Thank you so much to Alder creeks staff for such great care and getting my boys back in action!

Alder Creek Veterinary Clinic Introduce

For pet owners in Battle Ground, Washington, and the surrounding Clark County area, Alder Creek Veterinary Clinic, located at 209 SE 1st St, presents itself as a "Pet Hospital" offering veterinary services. However, online customer reviews present a polarized view of the clinic, with one praising the exceptional surgical care and positive staff interactions, while another recounts a deeply negative experience citing rudeness, overcharging, and unauthorized medical procedures. Potential clients should carefully consider these contrasting perspectives when evaluating Alder Creek Veterinary Clinic for their pet care needs.

One positive review highlights the excellent care provided at Alder Creek Veterinary Clinic, specifically mentioning Dr. Miller. The reviewer states that the clinic "takes such good care of both of my dogs." They recount a recent experience where Dr. Miller performed a "foreign body removal" on one of their dogs, describing her as "amazing!" The reviewer appreciated Dr. Miller's approach, noting that "She did her best to avoid the surgery but once we knew it had to happen; she made sure we knew what was going on every step of the way and checked in multiple times after surgery." This demonstrates a commitment to clear communication and attentive post-operative care from the veterinarian. The positive experience extended beyond the doctor, as the reviewer also mentions that "the front desk gals" checked in multiple times after the surgery. This suggests a cohesive and caring approach from the entire team. Remarkably, the reviewer notes that "even after surgery both my dogs are always excited to go to Alder Creek!" This indicates a positive and comfortable environment for the animals. The review concludes with a strong expression of gratitude: "Thank you so much to Alder creeks staff for such great care and getting my boys back in action!"

In stark contrast, another reviewer shares a "Horrible experience" at Alder Creek Veterinary Clinic, regretting not having read other reviews beforehand. Their primary complaint focuses on the "Very rude front desk staff who barely acknowledge you as you enter." The reviewer felt that the staff "act inconvenienced by your being there," creating a negative first impression and overall unpleasant atmosphere. The core of their negative experience involved bringing their cat in for a spay. They report being charged what they considered a "LOT," specifically "over $330 for a spay and $75 for an appointment PRIOR to the spay appointment." Beyond the cost, a significant concern was the administration of a vaccine that the reviewer "DIDN'T APPROVE nor consent to." They explicitly state that "My cat was fully vaccinated before this appointment and they just decided to give her another shot w/out my signing permission for this." This is a serious breach of trust and highlights a potential lack of communication and adherence to client consent regarding medical procedures.

While the reviewer found "The vet was nice," they also noted a "disconnect" between what the vet communicated and the information or actions of the front desk. This disconnect reportedly involved "the most simple of instructions and/or conversations," suggesting a lack of internal communication within the clinic. The reviewer concludes that "it is very evident that the vet and the front desk/billing dept do not discuss nor list notes anywhere." This lack of coordination could lead to misunderstandings and errors in patient care or billing. Based on their negative experience, the reviewer strongly advises others to "Go anywhere else then this place, or be aware that you will be overcharged and your animal may receive a vaccine or medication that you never approved of." They express relief that their cat was "ok afterwards" but conclude with a forceful warning: "RUN from this place! Awful!!!"

Based on these customer reviews, the environment of Alder Creek Veterinary Clinic in Battle Ground, WA, appears to be inconsistent depending on the area of interaction. While the veterinary care provided by Dr. Miller is described as excellent, with a focus on communication and follow-up, the front desk environment is characterized as rude and unwelcoming by one reviewer. This creates a stark contrast within the clinic's overall atmosphere. The potential for miscommunication between the veterinary staff and the front desk/billing department also suggests a lack of seamless integration within the practice.

The services offered at Alder Creek Veterinary Clinic include routine veterinary care, such as spaying and vaccinations, as well as more involved procedures like foreign body removal surgery. The positive review indicates a commitment to keeping pet owners informed throughout the treatment process and providing post-operative care. However, the negative review raises serious concerns about the clinic's adherence to client consent regarding vaccinations and the potential for overcharging. The disconnect between the vet's instructions and the front desk's understanding suggests potential issues with the delivery of consistent and accurate information to clients.

Several features of Alder Creek Veterinary Clinic can be identified from the reviews. The skill and communication of Dr. Miller, particularly in surgical cases, are a positive feature. The follow-up care provided by both the doctor and the front desk in the positive review suggests a commitment to patient well-being. However, the rudeness of the front desk staff, the high cost of procedures like spaying, and the administration of an unauthorized vaccine are significant negative features. The lack of communication between the veterinary and administrative staff is another concerning feature that could impact patient care and billing accuracy.

The provided reviews do not contain any specific information about promotional offers at Alder Creek Veterinary Clinic. Veterinary clinics sometimes offer introductory specials for new clients or package deals for routine services. To learn about any current promotions, local pet owners in Battle Ground are encouraged to contact Alder Creek Veterinary Clinic directly at (360) 687-3141 or +1 360-687-3141. They can inquire about their service fees and any special offers that might be available.

In conclusion, Alder Creek Veterinary Clinic in Battle Ground, Washington, presents a mixed picture based on recent customer reviews. While the veterinary care provided by Dr. Miller is praised for its excellence and communication, significant concerns are raised about the rudeness of the front desk staff, the potential for overcharging, and, most alarmingly, the administration of unauthorized medical procedures. The reported lack of communication between the veterinary and administrative sides of the clinic is also a serious issue. Potential clients should carefully consider these contrasting experiences and perhaps seek clarification on their policies regarding consent and billing before entrusting their pets to Alder Creek Veterinary Clinic.

Horrible experience, but I should have read the other reviews first. Very rude front desk staff who barely acknowledge you as you enter. They act inconvenienced by your being there. I brought my kitty in for a spay and not only do they charge a LOT (over $330 for a spay and $75 for an appointment PRIOR to the spay appointment), but they gave my kitty a vaccine that I DIDN'T APPROVE nor consent to. My cat was fully vaccinated before this appointment and they just decided to give her another shot w/out my signing permission for this. The vet was nice but what the vet said and the front desk, there was a disconnect over the most simple of instructions and/or conversations, it is very evident that the vet and the front desk/billing dept do not discuss nor list notes anywhere. Go anywhere else then this place, or be aware that you will be overcharged and your animal may receive a vaccine or medication that you never approved of. Thankfully my kitty was ok afterwards. RUN from this place! Awful!!!

Tina is the BEST veterinarian we have ever had. I tell all my family and friends about her all the time. She quickly diagnosed my kitty with asthma and got a treatment plan initiated that worked wonders! Tina is very intelligent and has the most compassionate heart I have ever seen! She will work tirelessly for the best outcome and truly cares about every pet and their owner's well-being. I have honestly never met anyone as genuine, kind, caring, compassionate, dedicated, diligent, helpful, and brilliant as Tina. I always trust the care we receive from Tina and feel such relief having her as our veterinarian. Anyone who gets to have Tina care for their pet is in amazing hands and lucky! A++++ Review for Tina and the staff at Alder Creek! You ALL rock and deserve nothing but praises! Thank you for the hard work and TLC you happily share with us!! ~Kim

Alder Creek Vet, specifically Dr Miller, has been our family vet for almost five years now. Dr Miller (Tina) has been the best resource we’ve ever had for our dog’s health. For example, when my husband was going through cancer treatment she went above and beyond to help us with any and all mysterious issues that arose with our dog with professionalism, flexibility, and grace. (Sympathy injuries, seizures being exposed to the chemo… really stressful things!) She helped us during that time, and during all of the other more normal times of our dog’s life, with knowledge, experience, and, most importantly, CARE. She is an incredible doctor and I feel so grateful to have someone I can completely trust to keep our favorite family member well. Thank you Dr Miller!

My recent visit to Alder Creek Veterinary Clinic in Washington was nothing short of a nightmare, primarily due to the unprofessional behavior of the office manager. From the outset, it was evident that customer service was not a priority. The receptionist was indifferent, and the waiting area was disorganized and unclean. However, the real disappointment came when I interacted with the office manager. Not only was she unhelpful, but she was also downright rude. When I requested an explanation of the itemized receipts, she became defensive and hostile. Instead of addressing my concerns, she threatened to kick me out of her office and later even went as far as threatening to involve the police. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. As a paying customer, I expect to be treated with respect and courtesy, neither of which I received at Alder Creek Veterinary Clinic. Not only did they fail to provide adequate care for my pet, but they also attempted to intimidate me when I raised valid questions about their billing practices. In the end, I left the clinic feeling frustrated and disrespected. I refuse to tolerate such behavior, and I urge others to think twice before entrusting their beloved pets to Alder Creek Veterinary Clinic
