Care is good enough but this practice will fleece you with overpriced care and extra and unnecessary charges after established pet/patient knowledge of recurring conditions. They demand examinations for the recurring conditions that our pet struggles with on a regular basis. Hassling us when we ask if we can just get a prescription called in for the same condition, they demand the pet come in for a full examination and work-up of which they charge more than other practices. They refused to call in medication without these examinations after full knowledge that the pet suffers from the same condition that recur over and over again. We’ve been with this practice for 3 to 4 years now and it has only gotten worse since we started. We loved the practice at first, and now not so much because of this. They have a very poor empathetic disposition towards the clients and because of this we are no longer going to be bringing our pet to Alamo Hills Veterinary clinic on Austin Highway. If you are a client who could use assistance in breaking up a bill into a couple of payments, you need to go to a different veterinary clinic. This clinic, being adjacent to Terrell Hills and Alamo Heights, knows that the majority of their demographic has lots of money so they raise their rates on these people because they can. You can get the same care for less money somewhere else in the city. CPS and saws has better payment plans for clients who need a little assistance in breaking up a bill into a couple of payments. So, we paid the bill in full, and this will be the last money that this clinic will see from this family. If you don’t like being overcharged for care and snooty, uncaring attitudes, I would skip out on going to this clinic. Read some of the other reviews in this feed about the clinic. Even in several of the good reviews, clients are complaining about their overpriced charges. We are not leaving because the care wasn’t good. We are leaving because they are overcharging and are uncaring about anybody else’s financial needs or discrepancies about being billed more than what they should be billed for. There are many other veterinary clinics that have a much better financial rapport with their customer base. This one’s all about money.

Nov 25, 2024 · Lee Farrar BaileyAmazing experience & attention. We had to take our 15 yr old dog in for a dental. Dr. Campbell & Samantha were so very thorough in their care for our dog. Samantha went above and beyond in explaining what they did for him, and what to expect after we got him home. Stacy & the front desk team provided world class communication before, arrival & post follow-up. We will be taking all of our dogs to this location. Pricing is very fair as well, especially for this level of attention/service
May 30, 2024 · Will BrennanThe doctor and staff are friendly and well organized. The wait time was minimal and the doctor took her time with the visit answering any questions I had about my pet. They are also reasonably priced for shots and visit. We will continue to take our dog here for the foreseeable future.
May 26, 2024 · Chris FuentesThey were very gentle with my spicy little fur ball and understanding of his displeasure of being examined. I sincerely appreciate them taking the time to answer all of my questions. They also have signs to let guests know if someone is saying goodbye and requesting low volumes. Some years ago, I was one of those people, letting my sweet girl go. They had tried their best to help her, and I thank them for that and for letting me have those quiet last moments with her.
Jul 12, 2024 · Jenn CarawayWe had Dr. Pain (hope I spelled that right.) She was kind and truly cared about my two dogs. Also noticed we had just moved to the area and recommended some boosters they might need in SATX that they didn’t need where we moved from. I appreciated that. The vet tech Sam was great also. You can tell when people care vs just their job… and they all seemed to really care at Alamo Hills Animal Hospital.
