Beware of added charges at this business. I have been a loyal customer for my dog and my cat for two years. I made an appointment for a rabies vaccine and arrived at the parking lot. They were late for the appointment and tried to charge me an extra $25 for a telephone call. Since you can’t bring your pets inside, they have to call you to find out what parking space you’re in. All they did was ask if my dog has had any diarrhea or vomiting. Pretty standard stuff I guess But not worth $25. I explained to the clerk that I have never been charged $25 for a phone call since I’ve been going there But that didn’t seem to matter. I will not be returning. I have paid them enough.

Welcome to Airport Cities Animal Hospital

For pet owners in Inglewood, California, and the surrounding areas, finding reliable and compassionate veterinary care is a top priority. Airport Cities Animal Hospital stands as a local option for a wide range of pet health needs. Located at 1120 W Manchester Blvd, Inglewood, CA 90301, USA, this facility aims to provide comprehensive veterinary services, catering to the health and well-being of local pets. You can reach them by phone at (310) 641-8800 or via mobile at +1 310-641-8800.

As a key player in the "Pet Hospital" category, Airport Cities Animal Hospital offers a variety of services designed to keep your furry family members healthy. Typically, facilities within this category provide everything from routine check-ups and vaccinations to more complex medical and surgical procedures. Given the common needs of pet owners, it's reasonable to expect services such as preventive care, dental care, diagnostic imaging (X-rays, ultrasound), in-house laboratory services for quick test results, and surgical interventions.

Environment and Accessibility

While specific details about the interior environment of Airport Cities Animal Hospital are not extensively available online, general expectations for a modern veterinary hospital include a clean, organized, and welcoming space. The physical layout of such a facility often prioritizes patient comfort and efficient workflow. This usually translates to dedicated waiting areas, multiple examination rooms, a surgical suite, and separate areas for hospitalization and recovery. Given its location on W Manchester Blvd, accessibility for local residents is generally good, with parking options available for pet owners arriving with their animals. It is worth noting, however, that one customer review indicates that pets are not brought inside, and staff call you to confirm your parking space for appointments, suggesting a curbside service model which some pet owners may find convenient, while others might prefer to accompany their pet inside the building. This procedural aspect is important for new visitors to be aware of.

Services Offered

The core of any veterinary care facility lies in its services. For Airport Cities Animal Hospital, as a general practice veterinary hospital, a broad spectrum of services would typically be offered. This would include essential preventive care such as annual physical examinations, vaccinations for common canine and feline diseases (like rabies, distemper, parvovirus, etc.), and parasite prevention and control programs (fleas, ticks, heartworm, intestinal parasites). Beyond prevention, they would likely provide diagnostic services, utilizing tools such as blood tests, urinalysis, fecal exams, and potentially more advanced imaging techniques to accurately diagnose various conditions. Dental care, ranging from routine cleanings to extractions, is also a critical component of pet health often provided. For pets requiring more intensive care, surgical procedures, including spaying and neutering, soft tissue surgeries, and emergency surgeries, would be standard offerings. Additionally, nutritional counseling, behavioral advice, and senior pet care are often integrated into a holistic approach to animal wellness.

Features and Customer Experience

One notable feature, as highlighted by a customer review, is their implementation of a curbside service model, where pets are not brought inside and clients communicate with staff via phone from their parking space. This can be seen as a feature of their operational efficiency, particularly in a post-pandemic environment, prioritizing convenience and minimizing waiting room congestion. The reviews offer mixed perspectives on the customer experience. One long-term customer praised the staff for being "very kind and happy to answer questions," expressing a strong sense of trust in the care provided to their dogs over several years. This positive feedback suggests a compassionate and communicative team, which is a significant factor for many pet owners when choosing a veterinary provider. This reviewer also indicated that while there might be waiting times, the quality of care makes it worthwhile, suggesting that patience is a virtue when visiting this particular clinic.

However, another review raises a significant concern regarding billing practices. This customer reported being charged an additional $25 for a phone call, which they felt was unnecessary and unexpected, especially as it was to confirm their parking space and basic pet health questions. This experience led to a decision not to return, highlighting the importance of transparent pricing and communication for customer satisfaction. This indicates that while the quality of medical care might be satisfactory, pet owners should be mindful of potential additional charges and perhaps inquire about them upfront to avoid surprises.

Promotional Information and Considerations for Pet Owners

When considering Airport Cities Animal Hospital for your pet's needs, it's beneficial to keep a few things in mind. As a pet hospital, their primary promotion is the promise of comprehensive and compassionate care. They aim to be a trusted partner in your pet's health journey. While specific promotional offers were not available in the provided information, veterinary clinics often run promotions for new clients, seasonal vaccination clinics, or dental health awareness months. It's always a good idea to check their website or call directly to inquire about any current promotions or discounts. Furthermore, for pet owners who value thorough communication and a patient approach, the positive reviews suggest a good fit. However, if transparent billing and avoiding unexpected fees are paramount, it would be advisable to clarify all potential charges before services are rendered. The emphasis on patience by one long-term customer also implies that scheduling flexibility and preparedness for potential wait times could enhance the overall experience.

In conclusion, Airport Cities Animal Hospital appears to be a well-established veterinary care provider in Inglewood, offering essential and advanced services for pets. Its curbside service model is a distinct operational feature. While many clients report positive experiences with the staff's kindness and the quality of care, attention to billing practices and potential waiting times are aspects pet owners should consider. For residents seeking a dedicated animal hospital with a focus on long-term pet wellness, Airport Cities Animal Hospital remains a prominent option worth exploring.

Been bringing my 2 dogs here for years. Everyone is very kind and happy to answer questions. I feel my dogs are very well taken care of. But if you are impatient this might not be the right fit for you. If you don't mind waiting then I highly recommend this office.

Mandy, the vet tech, is a miracle worker. She got my dog the paperwork we needed to travel, with time to spare. She also calmed my nerves with tangible suggestions and empathetic relations. We are forever grateful for her kindness and dedication to doing her best for people in need. Thank you, Mandy.

after 6 years of trifexis i tried to get a paper prescription to take to the big box store pharmacy.... suddenly i needed a $250 heart worm test before getting the prescription filled by someone else at a MUCH lower cost. VERY DISHONEST ... medicine manufacturer only suggests a test at start of treatment as medicine treats the disease. MONEY COMES FIRST FACILITY & HIGH $$$

I would give this hospital a higher rating as the service was pretty efficient and quick, but there are a couple things to be aware of. When I took my pup in for a quick visit, the staff was pretty courteous, but immediately tried to stack my bill with a lot of potentially unnecessary things. As soon as I commented on the price of the antibiotics, for example, there was immediately another variety available for 1/5 the price. It feels kind of shady negotiating the price of care like this. it was really giving auto shop vibes. But overall, I feel like they did fairly well, and the location is convenient for me. I don’t think it’s a bad choice, but it wouldn’t be my first either.
