Affordable Animal Hospital Whittier

This hospital is unprofessional, expensive, and unorganized. I had to call 3 times to have records emailed to me. The first time I was told it would take 48 hours for the doctor to review and edit the records. This felt sketchy as they should have already been up to date after my pets surgery and recovery. I spoke with the doctor confirmed by email and still the documents did not come. Until I called back third time. The lack of Transparency is my top reason to not return. As well the receptionist are rude. She brings in her dog who barks at every who enters. This frightened my cat multiple times before and already stressful trip.

Affordable Animal Hospital has been a fantastic place for our dog’s care. The staff is incredibly considerate and friendly. Our dog absolutely loves Dr Satleghi and Paul, which speaks volumes about how well they treat their patients. They provide excellent care and go above and beyond to ensure every visit is thorough and compassionate. One thing we truly appreciate is their willingness to discuss alternative treatment methods when cost is a concern, all while maintaining a high standard of care for our pet. It’s clear they prioritize the well-being of animals without compromise. Highly recommended!

I went in to get my dog's teeth cleaned- they did a satisfactory job, but they did not get all the tartar off. The front desk said it was staining- but I can see the difference. Granted, I am not a professional, however when I tried to have my concerns assessed, they brushed me off. They said I could speak to the manager, which I never did. When I asked if I could at least get the insight from the vet or the technician who performed the cleaning, I was denied. They would not give me a name (all I wanted to do was email the person). When they mentioned a dental report, I asked for a copy, they said they couldn't give me one. They had me pay for the service 100 percent up front and no consultation was done- I simply dropped off and picked up my dog for the cleaning. The staff I did interact with are cordial, and they were able to book me very promptly- so I jumped on the chance. However, beyond politeness- this place is, in laymen's terms, sus. I will not be back here again.

Everyone was friendly the Vet was very thorough in explaining the treatment plan and possibilities of what my kitty could have. I work in the animal care field for 18 + years now and everything this Vet prescribed and recommended was on point nothing was added as just a "money maker" and I really appreciated them taking us in so fast as a new customer with no appointment. Happy to have found a local family Vet for our pets!

If you come here, definitely ask to make an appointment when Dr. Satleghi is in. He's great, he helped me and my cat when I was worried a growth in his mouth was possibly cancerous. Thank goodness it wasn't but he explained everything and wasn't pushy at all in payment or anything. I was given an invoice for the surgey cost and spent a bit of time gathering funds for it. I can't say for the other vets at this clinic but my experience with Dr. Satleghi was great.
