Phenomenal veterinary staff and equally phenomenal care for our pets. They are the best and we trust them completely. Our former vet made a lot of mistakes and jeopardized our both our cat's health. Dr. Hechko and his team listen to the fur mommies and daddies and do everything they can to help. We always feel that the staff cares for our pets as much as we do.

Environment and Facilities:
The evolution of Adam Hechko, DVM from a smaller clinic to a "mega super store" indicates a significant change in its physical environment. While the expansion could mean more advanced equipment and a wider range of facilities, it's essential for pet owners to assess whether this larger scale translates to a comfortable and caring atmosphere for their pets. Consider observing how the staff interacts with the animals and the general comfort level of the waiting areas and examination rooms.

This positive feedback suggests a team that is attentive and responsive to pet owners' concerns. The review also mentions that "Dr. Hechko and his team listen to the fur mommies and daddies and do everything they can to help," indicating a potentially collaborative approach to pet care.
However, another review presents a contrasting perspective, raising concerns about potential overcharging, unnecessary treatments, and diagnostic oversights. This review suggests a shift in focus towards business expansion, possibly at the expense of individualized patient care. Specific allegations include pressure to purchase a 3-month supply of flea treatment without evidence of fleas, an inaccurate assessment of a pet's weight, and a failure to properly diagnose a malignant tumor on a dog's gum. The reviewer also mentions concerns about the perceived demeanor of Dr. Hechko and his wife towards staff.
It is crucial for local users to weigh these different experiences and consider seeking a second opinion if they have any doubts about the recommended treatments or diagnoses. A thorough discussion with the veterinarian about the rationale behind any proposed procedures or medications is always advisable.

Phenomenal veterinary staff and equally phenomenal care for our pets. They are the best and we trust them completely. Our former vet made a lot of mistakes and jeopardized our both our cat's health. Mar 10, 2017 · Julie CollisonWe stopped using them a while after Dr. Hechko turned a nice, but small veterinary hospital into a mega super store. Clearly somebody has to pay for that and it's better his poor clients than him do it. He did have some good vets working there at times but he is a real piece of work. First, we tend to rescue and adopt lost cats that cross our path after being unable to find their previous homes. Not a single cat went there that didn't have 'flea dirt'. You're guilt pressured to purchase a 3-month supply of flea treatment, not just for that one but for every animal in the house. He was attempting to extort almost $300 for a nonexistent problem as there were no fleas present ever. Our dog was accused of being overweight (She wasn't) by a vet that looked like a poster child for anorexia or undernourishment whom I would be surprised if she weighed 80# herself. The issue here is we were being told to feed the dog 1 cup of food per day (65# Chow/Lab mix adult.) When questioned if I knew how much a cup was and I indicated I did, she demanded the vet tech show me exactly how much a cup is. The last straw for us was when we pointed out a growth on our dog's mouth/gum. Hechko indicated it was nothing and we needn't worry about it. All without performing any testing whatsoever. A few years later, as this growth continued to get larger we revisited it with a different vet there, Dr. Roach who indicated it was a malignant tumor. We opted for the surgery to remove and paid for the biopsy with the understanding that it was either aggressive or extremely aggressive. The thing here is a quick internet search shows this is a particularly common occurrence in dogs with dark gums/tongues...like Chows! How does a vet who demands perfection and loyalty from his customers not continuously update his own skills and perfect his craft. I guess it would interfere with his empire building. He told us we should stop taking her to the daycare 2 minutes from our house and take her 30 minutes away to the daycare he just purchased. The worst part of this is the fact that he and his Dentist wife patronize a business I also use, and they are absolutely the most obnoxious people you can imagine. Demanding, derogatory and generally abusive to employees as if they're beneath them. Unable to keep their appointments on time yet expecting everyone will drop what they're doing to accommodate them immediately. Funny thing is after they run roughshod over people who went out of their way to be polite, courteous and accommodating, they leave poor reviews. FYI, these reviews affect the paycheck of the person receiving the review for months. Find a good, professional vet and avoid the potential misery this man can create for you and your animal. He stopped being a vet and became a magnate after building the new facility and it appears to be for the accolades he desires, not for his patients.
Oct 23, 2021 · Accurate AppraisalThe doctors and staff at NRAH go above and beyond when it comes to caring for our pets, and WE feel like we're treated like family. My wife and I once tried to "shop around" to see if another vet might save us money and give us the same service. Big mistake. The place was in Brunswick. We took our dog in because of stomach issues. When we picked him up later in the day his rear end was covered in -you know what- and they hadn't cleaned him up all day! Plus they were ready to check us out and expected us to take him home that way! You won't be disappointed entrusting the care of your family member to this practice.
Apr 24, 2016 · Tracy CThe team at North Royalton Animal hospital is just amazing! From the first phone call in they were caring, and really wanted to help our situation. We've been going to them for almost a year now, and I can't say Wow enough! The courtesy that they show towards animal owners and the care that they show towards the animals is just heartwarming! I only have one regret and that is not switching over to themy sooner!
