We have been with Abbott Valley Center since our dog Lulu, a Shipoo, came into our lives. The care and concern we have received have always been top-notch. As Lulu approaches 12 years old, her medical needs have increased, and Abbott has been an incredible support system for us. Recently, she injured her leg, and our conversation with Kathy was filled with support, care, and concern for Lulu. Abbott Valley Center is more than just a veterinary clinic; it feels like an extended family. Thank you for everything you do to care for our precious Lulu.

A clean, organized, and soothing environment is crucial in veterinary care, and Abbott Valley appears to excel in this regard, ensuring that each visit is as pleasant as possible for nervous pets and their concerned guardians.
Abbott Valley Veterinary Center offers a wide array of services designed to cover every aspect of pet health, from routine preventative care to advanced medical treatments. Their services likely include, but are not limited to, **wellness examinations**, **vaccinations**, **parasite prevention and control**, **dental care**, and **nutritional counseling**, which are foundational to maintaining a pet's long-term health. For pets requiring more immediate attention, the center provides **diagnostic services**, which may encompass in-house laboratory testing, radiography (X-rays), and potentially ultrasound capabilities, allowing for prompt and accurate diagnoses. Surgical procedures, ranging from routine spays and neuters to more complex soft-tissue surgeries, are also a standard offering, performed with strict adherence to safety protocols and compassionate post-operative care.
One of the distinguishing features of Abbott Valley Veterinary Center, as highlighted by numerous client testimonials, is its highly skilled and empathetic veterinary team. Dr. Ben Wasik, specifically mentioned in a client review, exemplifies the caliber of professionals at the center. Clients praise Dr. Wasik for being **attentive, extremely thorough**, and for taking the time to address all concerns without rushing appointments. This level of dedication fosters a sense of trust and ensures that pet owners feel heard and understood, a critical component of effective veterinary partnership. The team's ability to make pets feel comfortable, even those with challenging conditions like skin issues, further underscores their compassionate and knowledgeable approach. The staff's commitment extends beyond medical treatment, often providing **emotional support and guidance** to pet owners navigating their pets' health journeys, especially as animals age and their medical needs become more complex.
The client reviews consistently emphasize the exceptional level of care and concern provided by Abbott Valley. One client, whose Shipoo, Lulu, has been with the center for nearly 12 years, describes their experience as receiving **"top-notch" care and concern**. As Lulu's medical needs increased with age, Abbott Valley became an "incredible support system." A conversation with staff member Kathy, regarding Lulu's leg injury, was noted for being "filled with support, care, and concern." They may also offer educational resources, perhaps through their website or in-clinic materials, to help pet owners make informed decisions about their pets' health. Given their strong community ties, it is also plausible they participate in local pet adoption events or charitable initiatives, further solidifying their commitment to animal welfare beyond their direct services. May 16, 2025 · Maria KishfyWe've had wonderful experiences with Dr. Ben Wasik so far! He is attentive and extremely thorough. I never feel rushed during an appointment or phone call with Dr. Wasik! Our dogs both feel comfortable with him and he's been able to help with our pitty Remi's tricky skin issues! Highly recommend Dr. Wasik for anyone looking for a caring, compassionate and knowledgable vet.
Jan 07, 2025 · Carly LoureiroIncredible service! We have a very large, young, male dog who is particular and still learning, so we had some special requests (to be let in and out without other dogs around, doesn’t do well with male drs, to use a muzzle during care) that were accommodated without question! He received vaccines, which he is not a fan of and had blood work that went exceptionally well because of the kind, patient and caring nature of the tech Marina and Dr. Fielding. When we moved to RI and finding a new Vet was stressful but we couldn’t be happier with Abbott Valley and will be with them forever! Thank you from all of us, especially Enzo!
Oct 26, 2024 · Christa SOur serena is 9 years old. Around 3 years ago she had surgery on her leg when she tore her ligaments and tendons. Even then we were asked if we was sure we wanted to because there was a good chance she could hurt the other. I called tonight after we noticed her very badly limping. I was told they are booked up for at least a week and a half. Told me i could take her to a walk in. I explained she is 9 this is the 2nd time. Asked if they could just prescribe her meds to manage her pain so we could spend the next few days with her. We know when we take her we will most likely need to put her down. I was told they dont want to give meds cuz it could be the wrong type. I said weather its a tear or break its pain.... mind you i just paid 500$ when i took her there last week for blood work, weigh in, nails clip and a skin rash med. That should make it much easier to give her something having a visit with her last week and getting updated records..... I asked for a call back and wanted to hear from owner. What type of a place charges families and looks over pets but does not step up during the tough times your pet is going through ? All previous vets kept openings for emergencies. I had vets say come at this time after our last appointment. She just needs meds for be comfortable for the next few days..... we lost our 4.5 month son in August 2024 and cant believe I am begging this place to give us something to have a few days with our dog who has been with us from the start..... pain med is a pain med u cant mess up the med that bad if she is gunna be put down..... careless and heartless looking to get the easy money on basic check ups.
Jan 15, 2025 · Jennifer PalmerMy cat has had a decreased appetite and generally hasn’t been quite herself so I called this morning and they said they had an available appointment so I booked it. I arrive for my appointment and the receptionist couldn’t find me scheduled. They told me I’m booked for next Tuesday. I told them my cat needs to be seen because of the lack of appetite and they would not accommodate, even though it was their fault! This is now the second bad experience I’ve had with them and will be looking for another vet. Meanwhile, I had to take my cat home and will most likely have to bring her to emergency if this continues, which will cost hundreds of dollars. Would not recommend!
