They got me in when my own vet couldn't & did it within an hour of my call. Surgery was needed. Not only did they get me in & do the necessary procedure but they did an amazing job as well. I recommend these folks to EVERYONE that may be in a pinch & even for a fill time Vet.

This vet has never told me no to a same day appointment for my sick dog. This is a small business location with a vet that cares - I have seen this vet cry putting a dog down, this place really cares about your pet. They are affordable. I would say wait times do tend to be long but I know they take emergency cases so I am patient with that. I left bandfield for this place ends up being cheaper on a yearly basis from my perspective.

I found a kitten that we think around the 10 wk range. Took her to a vet in Fredericksburg. They barely did anything for her. She was only .97 lbs at this point, could not regulate her own body temp, and it was clear to me that she had eye infections, ear mites, and needed fluids. This was on a Thursday. Saturday came, and now I am at Pet Vet in Fredericksburg. After waiting a bit, they did let me know they were not an emergency vet, but they would do what they could to help her. They took her back to see what could be done. They ended up giving her subcutaneous fluids, meds for ear mites, meds for eye infections, and meds for an upper respiratory infection. After doing all of that, they suggested taking her to a vet versed in more emergency medicine. Pet vet got me an appt with the 610 Animal Hospital. I was very pleased with the care we have gotten there. He did some further testing and found that she was anemic and has liver disease at such a young age. Her liver was also enlarged, caused by the lack of food. He put her on medication for her liver, and I am happy to tell you all of her values have improved, and Izzy is now 2.55 lbs. We live in Spotsylvania, but the trip up to Stafford is worth it!! I definitely would recommend them. They truly care about the animals, and it shows in how they are taken care of.
