Been to this vet multiple times and every time I do, the doctor there finds a way to charge more money. Whether it be a “bad angle” on a sonogram for puppies, or adding on a procedure not asked for, and speaking condescendingly to you when he does not get his way. They also do not value your time, they will tell you “no longer than 30 minutes” and then have you waiting in the room for 20 minutes just for the doctor to come in. Doctor very disrespectful and not very personable at all, will raise his voice to you, hold your animal hostage, and then threaten police when you match his tone and energy. Please go literally anywhere else if you love your pets.

I have been coming here for 7+ years and love everything about them. The staff is great and really gets to know you. Everytime I walk in the door, Alexis greats me with a smile, knows my dog's name, and knows that I am coming in to purchase a simparico. Something very simple yet is refreshing to have excellent customer service skills these days. We enjoy the staff just as much as Dr. Borrero and couldn't recommended them more.

visited Aycock 4/8/2024 with my senior cat ( 18+ years old ) just to have her claws trimmed. I was forced to get a rabies vaccine for a cat that is indoors 100% of the time. The Vet said "it is the law". I told him there is a grey area of this law & that is for a sick animal or a senior indoor animal. They gave her the vaccine and she got very sick within days and passed away. This did not need to happen for a basic- claw trimming. I will never go to Aycock again. FIRST DO NO HARM does not apply here.

I took my cat to Aycock to get her checked for a possible broken jaw (she was hit by a car). The cat got scared in the examination room, and the vet was unable to examine her because the staff are inexperienced at restraining the animals properly. The vet told me that they would have to sedate my cat so they could take x-rays and do a physical examination. The cost quoted was $770.00 for that, and it would be performed behind closed doors in another room that I was not allowed to be in, so I would have no way of knowing if the treatment course was actually performed. I declined that treatment, and was then charged $62.00 for the examination even though the vet did not examine the cat. The vet became very belligerent when I questioned why I was being charged for a service that was not performed; he did not like being questioned at all. I ended up paying the bill just to recover my cat and get out of there. No invoice detailing the services performed was provided. I then took my cat to another nearby clinic where I paid $50.00 for a physical examination which confirmed that the cat had a broken mandibular jaw. The vet there instantly diagnosed the broken jaw without need for any x-rays or sedation. Aycock is a shady clinic, beware of bringing your loved pet here. I think Aycock is dishonest and unprofessional.

I used to love this office. The vet techs are kind. My bully breed needed his nails trimmed. After making me put a muzzle on him, they advised anesthesia. They almost killed him, he was given too much and was so sick. Never a call to check on him or any explanation. We ended up at a pet hospital which was expensive. A year later my sweet dog had an ulcer, we went to Dr B three times, only X-rays and meds were done. My dog became sicker, we went to Advanced Veterinary Center where he was treated for the ulcer that proferated his stomach and turned to Sepsis. He was critical and thank God AVH performed successful surgery and my Dog survived. 17 K later. Don’t go to Dr B, I don’t think he likes big dogs, cats or people. No compassion.
