ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospital

My dog Brownie had a seizure in the middle of the night. I didn’t know where to take her. Access was the closest place to our home. From the moment I called them as I was heading there, they were extremely helpful. The front staff was very helpful. In a moment of stress they made me feel at ease. My dog had to stay as they had to try to stabilize her. The veteran and staff did an amazing job at communicating with me and giving me updates. Unfortunately Brownie didn’t make it back home with us. But the staff made us feel comfortable and were extremely kind to us as they understood we had to let a family member go. I was also very surprised to receive a sympathy card with personal notes from the staff.

I took my little buddy Max here (6,1/2 yr old French Bulldog) as a referral from Dr. Boaz Man in Boca Raton. Upon arrival, no waiting, greeted right away by Emely who did the Registration. A nurse came right away and took Max. I was directed to a room where I met with Dr. Marco Filipovic, E.R. Doctor. He was absolutely superb! He explained in detail, even drawing an illustration, explaining Max’s condition and describing what the surgeon would be doing. Dr. Patrick Flynn, the Surgeon, called several times to follow up with me to describe Max’s full condition and the TWO surgeries he’d be doing. Listening to him gave me a lot of confidence. I could tell he had a lot of expertise! I needed that. After surgeries were done, he called with another follow up. I was elated to hear the news. Went in person this morning to see Max for myself. I was so surprised when Lauren (I.C.U. Nurse) took him out. Max leaped out and was ready to go! But needs five days there for stomach suture to heal and be under observation (which I’m happy about). Saturday Max gets an Esphogeal tube put in his neck so I can give him medications and drain any fluids in his stomach after he comes home. EXCELLENT experience going here for the first time! Max was here for a total of 7 days. Dr. Crane and Nurse Amy were very good with Max during his critical care. And, Rachel thoroughly covered the details of feeding and care for Max upon release and discharge. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ACCESS Animal Hospital! Amazing staff! Ample a parking! Very bright modern facilities. Again, it’s very clear that ACCESS hires people (staff and professionals) whose values match the Corporate Culture. Very similar to V.E.G., but I’d say is slightly even better. So glad to know they’re available 24/7 too!!!! Thanks again to everyone I met or talked too via phone! I am especially grateful to Dr. Patrick Flynn, Surgeon, who kept me updated daily with information on my little dog Max during his entire 8 days of hospitalization. Dr. Flynn called in the morning, and afternoon! What vet does that these days? Dr. Flynn has an exceptional level of expertise when it comes to surgical procedures, and I appreciate him including me in all of his problem-solving and decision-making before taking action. He literally saved my French bulldog’s life! During the follow-up with Dr. Flynn yesterday, I think even he was surprised to see Max’s full progress and recovery! I cannot say enough about the vets, nurses, technicians and front desk staff at ACCESS! But, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!

Place is TRASH. Staff is lost. Recently lost my dog and my friend took my dog here and they charged 1.2k to rescue my dog. All we needed is cremation the dog had stage 4 heart disease. I called last week chasing her pink blanket they told me they had it and I get when she cremated. I called today to follow up and they told me they don’t have my dog. It Turns out my dog was given in a box to go somewhere else to get cremated. And they kept my dogs blanket for almost 2 weeks and never said nothing just kept trying chase for a bill of 399.96 while I was on the phone. I walked in to pick up my dogs blanket and the girl literally called her boss to see if she can give me my dogs blanket who passed away because there’s a balance due. I WILL NEVER TAKE ANY OF MY FUTURE ANIMALS HERE. This place is terrible and the staff does not know how to communicate. This place is a joke ! Very upset and disappointed of the treatment if your animal has heart or lung issues go to cardiology and pulmonary in pompano best place I ever went to and I choose them place over this place because I knew this place only cares for money. Get new staff because your staff lies, does not know how to communicate and wanted to hold my dogs blanket over a 399.96 that’s SAD.

Most excellent surgical center. Appointments easy to schedule and care beyond phenomenal. Dr. Flynn performed my dog’s tplo procedure with great results. The care from reception to nursing and follow-up was all amazing. Thanks to the team!

We were referred to Dr. Sherman at Access by two different vet clinics for our pup’s patella surgery. The entire process was so smooth and we were kept informed every step of the way. We were called before surgery started and the doctor called us afterwards with a recap of the procedure. We also received his surgery notes, bloodwork results and a copy of the X-rays shortly after the procedure. Our little Cali is home and following their recommended recovery plan, which Harper explained in detail. She is awesome. Was it costly….yes. Would I highly recommend Access…absolutely.
